I’ve filed taxes with him every year that I’ve been a resident. We discuss taxes and dates for filing taxes and NHR status. We debunk the 10% taxes on pensions for Americans and Miguel explains how he obtains a NIF for you (which is also called the Fiscal Number) from abroad and what a Fiscal Representative is and the costs associated with the process. Then we review changing it to a resident fiscal number.
We talk about NHR status, Non-Habitual Residency and Miguel reminds us that we have a short time window to get it and if you bust that window then you can’t get it and can be subject to higher taxes. Plus much more.
