Vilamoura was one of my favorite places in the Algarve! The beach is not stunning as the other ones, inspite of being really great for some swimming. But the little city is very enchanting! With a really cool marina full of ice cream shops, irish pubs, clothing and accessorie stores and much more, it is the perfect place to spend the day until after sunset! If you are into some grown-up entertainment, there is also a pretty cool and big casino! Whether you go there just for a daytrip or stay for a while in one of the many amazing resorts, Vilamoura is a must!
I totally recommend the restaurant “À Broa – Cozinha Tradicional Portuguesa” for lunch or dinner! Their salmon is to die for and the tiramisu is just perfect! Check it out:
