Hi guys, I am Alex.
I am an Ukrainian expat who moved to Portugal.
No one in my family ever did any farming, But I discovered that I am very passionate about farming so recently I’ve purchased this 28 hectares Farm in Central Portugal, with the intention to start a small scale farm raising worms, cattle and sheep.
In this little farm I am also planning to build an off grid home, and be as self sufficient as possible, by growing my own food.
I created this channel to share my journey with the world, The journey of a first generation farmer, that is starting with no prior knowledge and experiences.
That maybe all the mistakes that I will make along this journey, and all the fails maybe will help some of you to learn from my mistake and not make them yourself.
I want to bring value and inspire people who are thinking about farming.
I am not a filmmaker or an editor, I am just a simple guy with a camera.

Congratulations on reaching 10,000 subscribers.
I love watching your progress.
Awesome work! Can’t wait for the roof to go on.
Great Progress. Your Dad is my concrete hero👍
Are you putting a light at the back of the house ?
Hey Alex, is your dad a builder – or just a really handy parent to learn from? Matthew (South Oz)
Alex
Are you going to plaster over the interior stone walls ? I think the house would look nice with maybe a few exposed walls . What about about insulation on the walls.
Thanks.
A big deal good for you to tackle this.
Alex are you keeping the sheep for the celebration of grand opening of the house. 😂🐑. Like the videos from 🇰🇪
Your dad is fantastic for all the help he is giving you
Alex I want to ask you about starting a wormery. I know how you do it as I watched your previous video about. So I apologise if my questions are stupid. 1 do we actually need to catch worms to put in, together it started? 2 when is the compost ready to collect? X
Another great video. You've inspired me to become a patron!
Olá tudo bem ?
O que é feito do gerador eléctrico ?
Forte abraço excelente trabalho o vosso
Congratulations on reaching >10K subscribers!!
Everything is abandoned on youtube these days. I am sure this was a treasured home for someone that passed. Perhaps you could change your headlines to reflect the historic home of someone who I am sure cared very much for their castle. 🙂
Great progress,
I could watch your father and you bringing this house to life for hours on end. It's both fascinating and interesting. The extent of knowledge your father has to pass on to you is amazing. Keep up your enthusiasm and fortitude.
Angela laying in front of your dad having a yawn was brilliant.great opening. Then her cheekiness as she went for your dad's hat and actually managed to get it this time🤣. I think you and your dad are a great team. I.love how you are doing everything properly and doing it old school. I have to admit I do look forward to hour videos (partly to see Angela) x
I AM VERY HAPPY FOR YOU AND YOUR FATHER FOR THE HARD WORKING OF THE HOUSE CONGRATULATION FROM BELGIUM
Hallo to both of you.
I have to warn you about the electricity pipe with ribbles by the door.
It will be quiet impossible to get the wires in these pipes.
You have to much bents so you better put the wires in first otherwise you have to do it again.
So I tell you I had this problem and lost a lot of time in correcting it.
Have many good times together.
Good luck
Rinus
Awsome.

Por favor nunca tenha 1 ovelha só. Pelo ao menos 3 ou 4. Ela não é curiosa ela procura e sente necessidade do grupo. Pobre animal.
Alex what hapend to the solar battery sistem?
i just come a cross your channel and i like to watch you two men work on your project but i only have one to say work smarter not harder i suggest you a cheap chinnese small excavator it will help so much in your labours and save your backs and also very handy machine for other efforts on your farm other than that good luck on your building and i enjoy your video
the stone walls of the house are beautiful , and great work again this week 🙂
It’s a privilege to watch your dad and yourself making your future home. The knowledge your father has is amazing. I’m sure he has shared much with you. I’m happy to see you acknowledge your father by sharing him in your introduction.
Nice to see you! It’s all coming together ❤️ 🏡 🌿🐑❤️🌹
Hi Alex and Dad, your both amazing, great skills and you find solutions. The floors look great, well planned and excited. Angelica as usual making sure yous both are OK and doing the job right. She was checking Dad's hat, not getting too hot. Keeping the stone in the raw is going to look beautiful. So many stone sealers out there. Be proud both of you's your work is exceptional. Bravo. Stay safe, have a chilled weekend, enjoy the cooler weather. 46 here on Tuesday.
Angela needs a sister or two. I got myself a worm farm. Not as large as yours but the size of a wheelbarrow bin.
You guys make a great team!
Alex, do you ever give your sweetie a bath? She looks like a bath would lighten her weight
!
Are you sure you don't need a back door to meet fire regulations? It's a must where I live. Well done to you both on the work and to Angela on her inspection work! If your mother will be cooking in that kitchen, I hope you got her opinion regarding how many sockets are needed! Just a thought……
Are you doing the house according to code? Like legally are going to ask the câmara's fiscal to inspect it afterwards or are you and your dad eyeballing it? Asking for a friend eheh 😉
Two men and their sheep renovate an old house It’s a great show guys Keep em coming 👍👍👍👍👍
I didn't see anyone say it, but the tool you used to mark level on the cinder block wall is called a chalk reel. What you did with it is to 'snap a chalk line'. The kitchen exhaust should be for the hood over the stove/range (плита). You and your father don't need to talk very much while you are working. Great progress Alex
I think you need to feed Angelica, she's obviously hungry – for your dad's hat!
Hi Alex… congratulations on all that you guys have done… you are working good and fast.
i just want to advise you to get more electric pipes from the main panel to the kitchen area.. only one pipe to cover all the sockets, and cabinet lighting and exhaust…. as you said, it's better to have more and don't need it than less and needing it 😉 (and you can apply this to other parts of the house… power sockets are never too many )
keep up your amazing work.
