I’d like to see more of what you doing now. But also emphasize the inherent challenges there. . I’m talking beaurocracy stuff 🙏
Ps I watched the dining video and weirdly I trust you about quality food joints 🙏
You’re always putting out very useful information no one else does. Teri 🙏
Hi Joric,
I remember leaving a comment for you in another video and you answering it. I was explaining that my partner and I were planning to travel from the Canary Islands to Lisbon with our 25-kilo dog by ferry and train and was asking you about the strikes. Well, we made it and we were so lucky no train strikes affected our journey! It almost happened because there were strikes scheduled for 1st, 3rd and 5th of August (we had to go back to Spain on this day), but then they were called off! So we left Gran Canaria by ferry, arrived in Huelva two days later, took a taxi to Ayamonte, from there a 10-minute ferry that crosses the Guadiana river, to Vila Real de Santo Antonio. There, a Regional train to Faro and then Intercidades to Lisbon. We did exactly the same on the way back. It was really easy to travel by train with our dog, she was on a short leash and muzzled and we carried her passport and vaccine card, but we weren't asked for any of this and we also realised the muzzle thing wasn't a big deal, so she ended up travelling without it. Dogs travel on the floor under your seat, and depending on the train service and the size of the dog, they have to pay, or not. In our case, as ours is a medium-size dog, we had to pay a full-price ticket on the Intercidades, but a half-price ticket on the Regional trains, and all dogs travel for free on Lisbon urban trains, including the metro.
I am so delighted I followed my heart and went to Lisbon, the city of my dreams. The holiday couldn't have been better; it just felt short and I can't wait until next summer to repeat it.
Thank you very much for your advice and your useful videos.
