FIXING UP WALLS AND CHANGING GLASS BRICKS | HOUSE RENO IN PORTUGAL #6

This was one our first weeks of taking over the renovation in our house! We decided to start with fixing all the walls, changing the glass bricks and basically everything that needs to be sorted before we can paint. We thought we can do it a lot quicker, but some of the things turned out to be a lot harder and we still are waiting for other things to be sorted.
Have a look what we have done so far and what are we planning next!

  1. I didn't like the glass bricks myself but I don't mind them now. You should be proud of yourselves, getting rid of the builders and doing it yourselves. Hard work but you will so pleased in the end. Bom trabalho!😀

  2. Nice it's nice to see that Portuguese young people going back there Portugal is beautiful I am from the island but came to Canada when I ways little I have been back my hart brakes when I have to come back home any way thanks for answering my questions have a grate day I'm looking forward to watching all your videos.😁😁🌸🌸🌸

  3. Take care of that damp on the ceiling or it will show over time through the paint coats, I had it my house one time, solved it by
breaking the plaster and plastered all over again then painted with white prime with anti bacterial and mold additive (by robbialac at Leroy Merlin store) followed by plastic interior satin coat (please dont make the mistake of cutting costs in paint, you will regreat it later on). For the small craks and holes try filling putty paste extra light with strong
flexibility to whitstand the walls dinamic movements due to cold or war weather. Please use a wall sander to prepare the plaster wall (chose one with vacuum aspiration) some stores sell them or rent it well worth the investment. About the bricks would set them up if possible without any divisions and do an entire row maybe even try a different color maybe light blue or light orange but plain ones is OK as some people overtime tend to get tired of the color glass bricks.. so its a personal taste.
