We need more people like you coming to our (almost) abandoned villages, restoring old houses and specially appreciating the simplicity of life in those places by respecting the locals and the nature. Kudos to you. I love the Serra da Estrela region and Covilhã is awesome. I`m actually planning on soon buying a property nearby although I`m more inclined to Belmonte or Trancoso region (which is close to you). My ultimate goal is far more ambitious but I`ll keep it for later but hey, If I do that nearby, you`re welcome to come by for some drinks! 🙂
