  2. CONGRATULATIONS! 🍷🍺🥤You are now a legal resident of Portugal. But remember… now you're also a TAXPAYER 😲.
    I can imagine your next big worry, don't throw away your worry-beads yet.
    As you tend to postpone dealing with legal matters… you'll be getting in a pickle with the Finanças (Tax Office) if you don't submit the tax declarations on time.
    The Finanças are never lenient. They love to find opportunities to apply heavy fines and arreas — plus the usual taxes.

    I hate this sort of international bureaucracy – and of course here in the UK we have stupidly turned our back on the freedoms Europe offers.
