Goodbye Portugal – Renovation in Portugal (#22)

Dear community, I missed you ✨

I tried to edit this video as fast as I can, but my life is full with other things now…
sorry you had to wait so long.

I know that usually people that renovating a house, are coming with all the budget or most of it and the time that needed for the project.
But I like to do things my way…
I know I need more tools, more money and even more people to help me.
I’m working on that right now.
I left Portugal because I went to my brother’s wedding in Georgia but I was also out of money, I wanted to come back for another month after the wedding but unfortunately it wasn’t possible without a budget.

I’m planning to come back to Portugal around late April 2023.

I want to say thank you for choosing to follow my journey.

And a big special love for 4 amazing viewers that donated money for my project!

If you wish to contribute to my renovation, I would really appreciate 🙂

About the “Look At me” …
I hope you will understand it the way I did and laugh as much as I did.
it is a short clip from a video called “television is a drug”

My next video is about properties in Porto, it will be ready later on, not next week.
in general I will try to produce one video a month until I’ll come back to Portugal.

see you soon

  1. Hello Osher, remember me (future wife, 🤪haha). It was good seeing you again. (And we nearly saw a whole lot of naked you. Tut tut, you tease), so a bit more done on the house. It must have been incredibly hard to leave, but you will be back, won't you? Till then, take some nature shots, sunsets, and such. Obviously, do a quiet narration and show your cheeky self, too. Stay safe and stay well. By the way, how old are you, as trying to figure it out as your skin looks youthful, but the grey may say otherwise.
    Obrigardo. X

  2. Great job osher. IF YOU PUT A SPOONFUL OF WASHING LIQUID IN YOUR MIX IT MAKES it more supple and leaves a shine to the finish. Other option is buy a product called plasticser from builders hardware. Anyways keep going you are making a fine job there

  3. Hi Osher, I'm a new subscriber and I just finished binge watching all of videos.. I admire your determination If I was closer I would help you 🙂 hope to see you back in Portugal soon … I myself have been living in Portugal since 2016 and I love it here… Wish you nothing but the best 🙏❤️

  4. Hi OSHA Joe here. Get you helmet on. Get a large 2x4x10 and use that to drop ceiling and roof. Just tear everything down . Pook the roof and it will come down. Get them all down you can do that by yourself. Ok god bless

  5. When you come back to Portugal give me a call….maybe i can make you a visit on your stone house and give you some ideas..i´m doing a similar job on a stone house near Serra dos Candeiros near to Leiria…for now keep your optimism!!!

  6. If it makes you feel better about using cement my Grandfather was a Stone Mason and he used portland cement mixed with sand and plasticizer. Cement is definitely the right choice for strength and longevity. Lime mortar is not as strong and over time will crumble like sand when you touch it. The wall in our annex building can attest to that. It was already half collapsed, and if you have seen that video you can see it took no effort to knock the rest of the wall down, we barely touched it. The lime based mortar had turned to sand and we could just brush it off with our hand. As you say, if you are not happy with the look you can go over it with something more to your liking.

  7. Good luck! So you will be back after winter? Those fires are starting to worry me regarding a future move to Portugal. I hear most of them are started by humans! Are those serra do caramulo mountains?

  8. Francisco and Silvia are very nice friends! Those Teddy Bears must of been very bad to be hung out to dry. I think by now I could pick out your wet knees on any European Beach Osher. Yes I am looking at you😄. Do you think someone will want your stones and take them!? Betcha! You are really very good at that pointing. I love it. It looks very well done. That beautiful cat looked like she was trying to cast a spell on you. Don't stare into her eyes. Safe and wonderful travels to you Osher.

  9. You did a lot, and you need "a rest" before you come back and keep transforming your house.
I love your videos, somehow the music, the editing, and how you share your story.
I will be touring Portugal with my parents mid May 23, not sure if we will cross paths but if so, I invite you a dinner and some wine.
