House of the Dragon has some amazing and elaborate costumes and prosthetics. With a talented crew behind the scenes and dedicated actors like Matt Smith, Milly Alcock, Olivia Cooke, and Emma D’arcy in front of the camera, this show really stands up to its predecessor, Game of Thrones. We’re going to be getting into all of the painful, uncomfortable, and downright unfortunate costume pieces and prosthetics endured by each actor. One of the first things we get into is the tragic birth scene from episode one. Did you know that fourteen identical dresses were created for that scene alone? Not only that, but she had to wear some pretty uncomfortable tubing underneath it all. Don’t even get us started on how much the actors hated wearing their wigs! They’d be in hair and make up for hours on end getting those applied. We can’t even think about those scenes when the wigs get covered in muck and gore – back to hair and make up right after! We also get into everything that went into creating the Crabfeeder. Daniel Scott-Smith had to arrive to set seven hours before shooting started to get his make up, prosthetics, and even a partial wig applied! Patience is definitely a virtue in House of the Dragon. Emma D’arcy has a pretty hilarious story about their audition process – have you ever tried to make a homemade wig before? Yeah… just take some hot glue and some old extensions and you’re ready to go. Stick with us until the end of the video and let us know what your favorite costume pieces were.

No Consequences
How come characters commit crimes out in public and no consequences? Criston murders a man. Alicent assaults Rhaenyra. What gives?
When Daemon said heir for a day or when he molested his niece which she enjoyed, Viserys wasn't actually there. It's easier for Rhaenyra to lie about her sons' real father if Harwin is already dead. But what Criston and Alicent did was right in front of Viserys, so why no punishment?
The bastard issue is also a fascinating part to dissect. If Viserys, Laenor, and Corlys consider Jace and Luke legitimate, wouldn't they NOT be considered bastards? I'm aware a bastard is a child from two people who aren't married but doesn't the king have final say on it?
It seems only the Greens are saying they're bastards. Nobody in the actual realm is saying this. And it seems most of Westeros are siding with Rhaenyra, so it seems they're not as sexist as they are. Rhaenyra gets most of the support from all the Houses. Otto and even Rhaenys are saying things that's overblown.
