Siargao just keeps surprising us even when we don’t expect it! Today we found out that our favourite Beach Baby Cafe has reopened. How can we leave this beautiful paradise when it just keeps giving 🙂
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel’s mum & Story’s grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.
Follow us on this journey 🙂

I have been following your story since the typhoon, recommended in an Ex-pat news group. A couple of things have interested me:- 1) You didn't have metal shutters on your windows to protect them from typhoon winds. I got mine installed after our first typhoon and the French windows were creaking ominously. Since fitted no issues, 2) You have and use a/c. We had a/c put in for visitors in the guest rooms, but all they do is attract nesting birds to the heat exchangers. We have the windows open all the time behind bug screen, blowing fresh air is great (even if assisted by floor standing fans.) 3) I am very interested in your solar set up, we have a generator system for when the power goes (learnt the hard way as we lost two freezer contents during out first typhoon.), just seems to need so much up front. Is it right to assume you are long term tourists rather than potential long term ex-pats? You seem to have a choice of western style food outlets, which outnumbers here by a bout 20 to 1 🙂 > Have a good trip to the UK, and if you ever decide to see other parts of the Philippines (Luzon) , you are more than welcome to pop in for a cuppa. Story has a great smile by the way .
Oh Story your so cute and smart too, kudos to Jay and Sacha your raising her well…she always put a smile on my face every time I see her doing her antics or just simply smile ….just enjoy each day Jay and Sacha on the island and take care, be safe always to your trip back on UK…God bless.
