  5. "…we both value experiences over material things…we both want to see life from the eyes of other people around the world. This is what my dad had shown me all along…THIS mindset was the biggest gift that he gift me." So true. The last line made me tear up in half a second because it made me think of all the non-tangible things my dad has given me beyond physical shelter and food. He's given me a particular mindset, a beautiful mind. Raising another human being involves providing for them physically of course, but also cultivating morals, instilling values and helping to shape their view of this great, big world we share.

  6. I recently moved to the US with this philosophy, I have been moving to places in India since the age of 5, but still moving to another country was overwhelming. Your video is soothing to my soul.

  7. Malama! Ahh this video…resonated and touched my soul today. I lost my dad in April and feel so (so!) Lost in all kind of ways. I love your calm and collected nature and – such a beautiful (and realistic!) Video for making our dreams come true! I feel like I stopped living and stopped dreaming! Your story was inspiring to say the least, thank you! I wish you and your husband all the best in Portugal, its amazing you went, good for you guys 🙂 you stirred something in my heart…prob time to get real with myself, usually the way during hard times!!🙏 thank you for the reminder to be curious and open to change, so simple yet – no one has managed to say that so clearly since life turned upside down! Much love to all🙏🌌

  8. I briefly lived in Portugal during my Erasmus exchange programme and I loved it so much, I miss it a lot. ❤
Congratulations on your move! This was such a lovely video that got randomly recommended to me, I'll check out your other videos.

  9. I love to hear that you father took a leap of faith to move to another country without truly knowing what will bring. I travel for a living and being adventurous is awesome. Your father passed that down to you. Stepping outside of your comfort zone is how we grow and are able to experience life to the fullest. Bless you and your family. I just discovered your videos and I think your are amazing with the positive views your.bring to all of us. Thank you for sharing. May you always be blessed 🙌

  10. I can't wait to see next video of you in Portugal. You inspire me a lot. I always learn something after watching your videos. I hope I could explore the world like you do. Love and hugs and wishing you a wonderful journey.❤

  11. Hey, I have been following you for a while now and I watch your video and the best part is I can just listen to them when I am driving. Recently, your post has changed my life and made an impact. Your posts are very soothing and relaxing. I am away from my family and it's been 5 years since I haven't seen them. I am a student here and life is completely different but your videos, and post makes me feel grateful for everything that I have achieved so far. Thank you for taking the time to create and record such beautiful content. Thank you so much. Your parents are lovely ❤️. More of thank you for existing 💪💓

  12. I'll say one thing as a Portuguese person: you may not be well received there. It of course depends where in Portugal you move to. I am from a small village in the North, and have actually met expats from Australia, The Netherlands, and Britain. They are genuinely well received. But from what I've heard and seen in Lisbon or in the South, people are much less accepting because they've dealt first hand with all the negative effects. So yeah, don't be surprised if you meet some not-so-happy people who tell you to leave.
