Only Angola I’ve ever heard of was the prison in Louisiana
And again the west suported dos Santos and fought against the people of angola.
All in name of an outdated local mindset in a global soceity.
People need to grow up.
You butchered the portuguese language.
There is two things: the video maker never been in Luanda 2) if they did, they stayed in the expats houses and hotels. They did not go in town. Luanda is dirty, surrounded by poor people. I flown helicopter in Angola, I had a look at all the country. It is poor. The ehelt is very concentrated on a few.
Oh African people,
when u will understand that france and italy made you their slaves! they made peculiar country maps to devide u people! try to become united! your country maps are joke!! Dont you understand france is milking your country???
So after all this research, your conclusion is that "the other party" and "democracy" will be the solution ? All of the banks and companies related to this are still the same and still perform the very same business, it is just that one family is taken out and the other one is put in, that is it.
I have seen Launda from the anchorage. In the middle you see the heights of luxury. Almost like a border, the rest is just standard african poverty
Rwanda and Botswana are the prime examples for African countries to follow
Central???
Wow those houses aren't even that nice as far as a decent gated community in the US goes, but holy shit renting a house there is fucking insanely expensive. I wonder what they cost to own for those 300k-500k houses. 500k looks like it should be tops imo
African Presidents are the Worst thing to ever happen to Africa.
So those plundering resources have their own gated communities with tight security to keep the locals out, they funded a nice tarred road for themselves leading to the airport.
Angola is just how anglo's want the country. Easily lootable.
No way is anyone in the Dos Santos family going to have a peaceful death.
I WOULDN'T LIVE IN ANGOLA FOR ALL THE $$$ IN THE WORLD, HORRIBLE PLACE!!
Sounds a lot like Jeon Du-Hwan, previous dictator of Korea
I don't think the fact that the daughter of the President is the richest woman on the continent is anything to be proud of, unless you're a huge fan of nepotism and corruption.
….
Ah, I was a five minute psychic!
Wrong , the rebel of Angolans at Malanje in 1961 . happen because the CIA entered there disguised as missionaries , and start telling Angolans to to run with the Portuguese from there , they were exploited , etc
That rebellion did not start because people , but CIA did it , because always wanted Angola their oil , diamonds and gold the envy of North Americans knew no bounds . and soon after the Soviets ( cold war start running in Angola after a while ) all its past but , its a obligation tell the true history not lies , of Portuguese had a very good Govern internacional police PIDE , by that time and tried defend their own interests too , later even Cuba join the fight there the true will always came up . the Angolans were caught in the middle of the cold war, they didn't start anything, don't lie…
eat the rich
i loled when he said "democracies across Africa"
delusional at best
This is so fascinating, I once met an American family preparing to move here they were very sweet but I was shocked when I learned of this opulent job transfer
so the take away here is that isabel dos santos is living like modern day royalty, while the living standards of everyday angolan have changed marginally.
Finalmente decidiram falar de Angola obrigado😁
How about you covering Portugal’s plundering of Angola???
u failed to mention the lasting impacts of European colonialism that left Angola in shambles
we dont even have real democracy here in Angola
Title: What did colonialism look like?
Could have just said " lots of oil".
90% of the video is a history lesson of thr civil war, corruption and new PM
Could there maybe be a subtitle along the lines of : Robbery of a whole Nation is possible and profitable and you can get away with it… Here is how !
Interesting clip, sad situation all across Africa.
The whole world 🌎 needs Africa to survive
So many oligarch criminals stealing from the starving in Africa. 🌍
What this documentary did not mentioned, US of AmeriKKKa and all western countries not only helped Desantos with corruption but they also helped him to stay in the power for this long.
Over exaggerated, American propaganda videos like these are created for anti-China effort. It's sad how the US just can't stop being nosy and mind their own business.
Loved the experience of working there. Angolans are wonderful people too. So friendly.
I used to fly in and out of Luanda for the project I was on. The Express left just before my Emirates flight. We all lived up the coast in a camp near Cabinda, about 2 hours flight.
one word: wow
I hear Hunter Biden is somewhat of an Oil and Gas Genius, maybe he can get a job there
These are just horrible people, with your people starving, how can your do this.
Why won't Africa help its people?
That's not average American housing.
But of course the one fault in the claimed "prosperity through oil resources" even IF developed by the nation, and the benefits are distributed equitably, remains the climate-catastrophe that all of humanity faces if we pursue business-as-usual. Time to plug the wells and leave the oil in the GROUND!
It's called not diversifying your economy
The birds-eye view of their homes look as boring and sterile as the homes in the USA
Vomit inducing how these outsiders take advantage of these countries
