Most business owners struggle to find commercial space for rent. Finding and leasing commercial space isn’t the easiest task and the world of commercial real estate seems shrouded in mystery. Unlike the residential, commercial real estate doesn’t have a “one stop shop” resource like the MLS or Zillow. While you can certainly utilize tools like Loopnet or Craigslist, they often don’t have up to date information and can still be difficult to use. But how do you find your next commercial space? Even though there’s no apparent database of commercial property listings, you still have a few options. Here are three ways for a business owner to find commercial space for rent.

Thank you 😊 do you have an email I could message you on? I have a question regarding the leasing process.
My City Calgary is turning into "a Detroit" partly due to the Pandemic business failures and areas built around urban sprawl. All the properties we have looked at so far have been absolutely unacceptable with wires and electrical hanging from the roof, layers of dingy ripped out flooring and holes in the ground where a washroom toilet should be. I have had a bit of luck tho looking at new developments that are community based strip malls under apartment complexes. Generally I use a strategy of looking in communities that are located near the downtown but in family oriented spots. My Business is A Silver and Gem Jewellery Company where women can also make their own items but using higher end materials. I have been robbed a few times in my Career, so the Security of a Space is also very important to me.
😊
[NYC] I love walking around and finding new spots. However, most dont have call numbers or are businesses that I suppose have been trying to launch for 12+ months and are sitting half completed. Any tips on a good resource to find the agents for these buildings, or better yet, the names of people/company holding the current lease?
