How do you work with builders to renovate a house when you don’t speak the same language? In this video we share our story of renovating our house on the island of Madeira, when we don’t speak Portuguese. But first let’s take a moment to hear Naomi reflecting on Our Bright Journey that led us here.

Your architect is an incredible, I would love to see an interview with her ❤ great video!
It's good that parts of the reconstruction of the house are already being published, I was anxious to see them, I like your channel and much more for having chosen the beautiful island of Madeira to live in the land of my ancestors… big hug from South America
You're living in the perfect environment to learn Portuguese! Love your videos–was wishing this one was a bit longer lol.😁
My advice when you find a good tradesmen was example a builder or a gardener try to keep the same one when you need to use them again . That what I did since I start living in my house in Sintra centre in 29 July 2019 I been using the same builder since then . It is difficult to find a builder that is honest and does a excellent work and my does that. I hope that everything goes well with the house .
Out of the many who produce their experience in moving to Portugal, you channel stands above them. Intelligent, defining areas of possible hiccups and knowing your limitations. all good, all real, all believable. Add to that your ideal of taking care of yourself and your bodies through fitness, it feels like you're both not so distant family. The community should be grateful to have you. 😉
those blood builders should learn English…
