  1. "The beautiful Mediterranean nation, nestled on the east coast of the Iberian Peninsula…" (1:08)
Say, what?! Portugal is in the west of the Iberian Peninsula; and it is bathed by the Atlantic, not the Mediterranean!
And, "In the country's capital, Lisbon, rentals start at about 650 Dollars a month"
For that amount of money, I doubt one may find even a room in a private house (unless it is being sub-let by immigrants — and that would be unlawful!). Also, I find it extremely doubtful you could "snag a rental for as low as 375 Dollars a month" in Porto! For that amount of money, all you might find would be an apartment (or house) in a very rural part of Portugal. If you're lucky!
I also find it quite extraordinary what that Israeli young lady said at minute 2:38. In Portugal, there are at present a lot of job vacancies, mostly in the manufacture industries, but also in the services and healthcare areas. But, of course, most of these types of immigrants as shown in this video prefer to create little niches instead of subjecting themselves to the labor laws and traditions of the host country… and good luck to them.
And FYI, Portugal is not another Mediterranean country where people talk loudly, etc.! Portugal is neither on the Mediterranean nor do people talk loudly, as a rule! To compare Portugal to Italy or Greece shows a tremendous lacking of insight!
And, "Illegal buildings"?!! (5:53) Give me a break! Do you really think Portugal is a third-world country and does not have tight control over fraud?!!
Extremely poor reportage, if you ask me…

  2. Life in many Arabic countries neighbouring Israel is way cheaper!
Israelis needs to be more spiritual than being gold diggers!
Also they should slice more money from filthy rich people and help poor with food, housing, and health care! Thanks

  3. Portugal will soon become the Las Vegas. Looks what happen when Californians started the move to Las Vegas. Now la Las Vegas residents are leaving because they can no longer afford living in Las Vegas.

  4. prices won't remain low if a lot of israeli's move, pushing up house prices for locals.
on a side note, isn't it interesting who is allowed to want a 'better life' despite coming from countries that are developed and considered to have a high standard of living as opposed to migrants from developing nations who are looked down upon.

  5. That doesn't make any sense unless you have a job offer. Moving itself is extremely expensive. Also in 1536 most Jews were expelled from Portugal because they were Jews. The good news is that Portugal now offers citizenship to the descendants of those who were expelled. It's not like it's a reoccurring theme throughout world history.

  6. It's a shame the cost of living in Israel is so high. It is because of our Defense and Security budgets. The whole idea of Israel, is that we build it. The problem is that we don't.

  7. This article is a monument to stupidity it starts with Brazilian music in Portugal (Portugal is not Brasil FYI) and then the pseudo jornalist says “the Mediterranean nation” Portugal is not bathed by the Mediterranean!!! Then she gives the prices of rental in Dollars when Portugal has the Euro!!! Then they put Capoeira music from Brazil😂😂😂 The law of Sephardic jews is not for North Africans and Ottoman Empire Jews although those are the ones applying (Sephardic Portuguese Jews were actually located in north Europe) could the journalist get anything right????
