Kings and Generals’ historical animated documentary series covering the Pacific War week by week continues with another video on the early days of the war, as Japan is still on the offensive. In this episode we will talk about the Japanese Invasion of Timor, beginning of the crucial Battle of the Java Sea and the so-called Sittang disaster which opened Burma to the Japanese attacks.

Also make a video about eh Japanese occupation of Thailand.
What I liked about the Pacific War Series of this channel is that they had shed a light into these overlooked battles in Southeast Asia during the war's early year Unlike what we have been seeing in the mainstream which only tend to focus on the American's perspective , like what happened in Pearl Harbor and the succeeding battles after that involving American forces.
This is a bit of a weird comment, but could you flip around the order of the episodes in the playlist? As it stands, if you try to watch this series through the playlist on the channel, it goes in reverse order, starting with the most recent video and ending with the oldest.
Love from Timor Leste❤️
Great video! however just want to give a friendly heads up- “yokosuka” Japanese forces is pronounced
“yo-ko-ska”. :p
What is the OST that starts immediately after the intro cinematic?
I appeal to the entire civilized world, Russia continues to attack Ukraine, the war does not stop at the moment, the Russians are actively attacking civilians, I believe that most of you helping Ukrainians, food, or in the help of the refugees, so I have 2 requests for people of Ukraine, Russian bottleframes actively attack Ukrainian media, thousands of comments that distribute among us wealthy thoughts, we are borne with us, bots thousands of us are millions and they do not break the freedom of the Ukrainian people. Therefore, the request 1 counteract the Russian propaganda, to the allegations of Russian bots in you informational space, which is most important, throw complaints about Russian sites, Utahban Canals, protect the information space and their country from Russian occupation. 2 In addition to the information policy, it is important to clean the political sector, to speak the only front against for Russian politicians, they undermine the integrity of the Western world. Spread this comment. Glory of Ukraine. The civilized world wins the Putin's Horde only together
i just wondering if there is a game like the animation explanation you use?
Kings and Generals in 2032.
World War III Series : Part 1 Assault on Kiev
Just a simple question. Can you make a video serie about close date small scale wars on 21st century ? Such as Azerbaijan – Armenia or Russia – Ukraine. We are living today the history of future. So we don't have to wait a decade for strategic details?
Lastly ;
"peace at home peace in the world"
MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK
Holy moly, the Java naval battle was fucking painful to watch. Just complete confusion on the Allied side lmao
love letter form indonesia people. now we and student can learn history about world war 2 in indonesia form your chanel
An interesting sidelight to the Timor invasion involves one of the Australian soldiers in Sparrow Force who was taken prisoner. Tom Uren was a working class boy who had played professional rugby league and had a promising career as a boxer. He went on to work on the infamous Burma railway and witnessed as a POW in Japan the bombing of Nagasaki (fortunately from a distance). He went on to have a career in politics becoming a Labor cabinet minister in the Whitlam government and briefly deputy leader of the Labor Party when they were in opposition. These wartime experiences influenced two of his political positions – an opposition to uranium mining and a keen support for the struggle of the East Timorese.
Orang indo mana nih
So funny. The fraud leader in Washington still talking and not doing to help Ukraine?,,
I thought this is ANOTHER Invasion of Timor…
cant wait for Invasion of Java
love this Pacific War series
i'm officially addicted to this channel
Due Indian …. abandon by the white
Kings and Generals gonna be doing some episodes on Russian invasion of Ukraine soon…
For real, hope y'all Ukrainians bros and gals good luck and stay safe out there. Especially the ones fighting.
Guess we gonna have an invasion of Ukraine 2022 video soon
Imagine if you guys did a live episode on Russia's invasion of Ukraine as it unfolded.
Really love the South East Asian front is covered. Usually when people are talking about Pacific front, they only mention Pearl Harbour, Iwo Jima, or Midway and rarely mention Singapore, Burma, Malaya or Java Sea.
United States will produce so much shit for war imperial Japan will be reduced to great car maker Toyota
Fantastically produced series on a not often covered theater of WW2.
Isn’t it surreal that one day you might make a video about the Russian-Ukrainian War which is going on right now?
Bro, please do Indonesin Invasion on East Timor
Would love to see you making a series of Russian-Ukrainian conflict in the future lmao
Can u please do a video on chola invasion of South East Asia
I wish to see you covering the western sahara conflict(1975-1991) between Morocco🇲🇦 and polisario front backed by algeria🇩🇿.
The case is not made here that the Bridge had to be blown when it was. Sacrificing half your forces for no profit… I just don’t see that as a strategic move much less tactical.
Awesome video! I love seeing the lesser known stuff they don't teach in American schools
I can’t get enough of these videos
Van Strahten as in tomahto.
HOI4 never shows the Japanese invasion of East Timor, because they want to portray Portugal as staying neutral. Please fix this, Paradox Interactive.
Peace from my lovely county Timor Leste ❤️🤝
Weird how they decided to not go after Portugal as well.
The amount of efforts put into these videos is just awesome. A small petition from this Indian subscriber – "Please make a series about Bangladeshi Liberation War(1971)"
I respected editors of this series since they started from European colonization, but I couldn't see that half of movie is used for explaining situations in Timor.
Absolutely brilliant!
Can you do a series like this on the Spanish Civil War?
Hi Kings & Generals.
I hope this reaches you, but I have a suggestion for research and a video to accompany it.
I assure you it will be an honour to your Irish fans (myself being one of them) and an education to your international fanbase.
The Flight of the Earls and the events and background leading up to it.
It was at the time (Pike and Shot era) very clever in its use of Guerilla warfare mixed with pitched engagements between unconquered Gaelic lands and Royal English landowners. Truly an interesting time and quite tragic (as is most of Irish history)
The result being the catalyst for the next few hundred years of protestant plantation and penal laws wherin developed the first of true nail in the coffin of the Irish self-Governance for years to come.
I would ask kindly for your consideration and I would love to see what you make of it through your detailed and fascinating animation and storytelling format.
Thank You sincerely.
