Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. We call them sunchokes (or Jerusalem artichokes) around here. I start using them in small doses until our bodies get used to the inulin in them.

That is not a Jerusalem Artichoke. It is Yacon. The purple parts are the Propagating Tubers & the others are the eating tubers
the sweet potato vines can be cut in small pieces and planted in a row . that be your next crop.
You will find more Jerusalem artichokes if you have a dig with a garden fork. They don't keep long in the air, so should be left in the ground until required.
The butter pumpkin (squash) you can roast the seeds in olive oil n salt really yummy!

Awesome help Nick. Also great harvest and the soup looks delicious. Love how the cats and dogs cuddle up together. Our cat and dog does the same. That was a good bit of rain. The wine sounded good. I don't drink alcohol anymore but I have made many wines in my day. I made a batch of blueberry one time which I had brewing for 6 months. I had bottled them off and put some under my kitchen sink in my tiny apartment where it was very cool. It was xmas and 40 degrees below Celcius. My dad a tough fireman and brother walked to visit with their heavy military parkas on. I gave my dad a glass of wine and he finished it and walked home with his parka under his arm as he was sweating. Just after they left all the bottles of wine under the sink went pop, pop, pop. What a mess! I kept calling every now and then to see how my dad was as I was afraid I poisoned him. I cleaned up my mess and the next day my dad was bragging about how good the wine was and what a great sleep he had. I kept the info about the wine expl9ding to myself but I never made blueberry wine again. Thought you would get a laugh from this. Take care guys. I always look forward to your videos.
