Lagos, Portugal located in the Algarve, is one of the best and most beautiful vacation destinations in Portugal. Lagos is a top Expat location and a vacation spot for many families on holiday – this is truly a town that offers something for everyone. There is a large variety of excursions you can choose from to fully take in all that the beautiful coast of the Algarve has to offer – including kayaking through the caves, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, or a dolphin watching tour. There is also plenty of hiking, shopping in the old town, or just taking the time to relax at one of the many cafes enjoying a beverage with some amazing Portuguese food while listening to live music. Be sure to enjoy one of the pastries Portugal is known for – the Pastel de Nata, you won’t be disappointed!
One of the top things Lagos is known for is the Amazing beaches and rock formations that line the coast of the Algarve. Make sure to take the time to explore and spend time relaxing on one of the many beaches to choose from. One great way to see all the beaches is the hop-on-hop-off trolley, a truly great way to see it all! With so much to offer, Lagos is an obvious choice for a weekend getaway or an extended vacation.

After a 3-week trip to Portugal together we found ourselves with the #travelbug ! Soon after returning home, we started researching ways we could travel the world on a budget. A few short years later, we quit our jobs and now #traveltheworld full-time. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences as a #travelcouple in hopes of inspiring others to do the same and follow their dream.

Lagos, Portugal has become one of our favorite places so far! Is there something we shouldn't miss while we are here? Let us know in the comments below.
Cheers!!!
Great video! Would you say this destination is best for older or younger couples?
Hi Brian’s and Carrie from Ontario Canada! Just researching Algarve travel and found your great videos. Do you know the name of the resort you saw on your walk outside of the city centre? Happy travels❤️
Love the video. It seems like this music is more repetitive and a little louder than the previous videos. I may be wrong.
Can you tell what kind of adapter you use for hair straightener and for electric toothbrush (if you use one). Thank you!
Nice video. We'll be there in November. Surprised it didn't seem like it was all that busy like I've heard it would be in the Summer.
Thank you for sharing. Your videos are always very informative!
Nice place. Love all the views. I think I saw about 15 beer signs/references along the way. I can't wait to hear the monthly costs. Cheers.
What a beautiful dress, Carrie!
Next time, go even further up West to Odeceixe, Aljezur. You will love it!
Really enjoyed this video guys. Those rock formations are just gorgeous and that mercado looks great! Cheers to another beautiful day!
So between faro or Lagos, which do you prefer and how many days needed to visit ? Trying to work my way from lisbon to madrid and trying to hit Seville and malaga on the way. Thanks.
I have found its perfectly do-able to negotiate with the owner first via email then agree the price which is then processed via AirBnB
Lagos looks lovely, and the area around the marina reminded me a bit of Alicante. I could see why renting a kayak would be fun as you could access coves and beaches that you could not get to any other way. I look forward to your costs video to see how prices compare to Spain. I told my friend about Croatia as a place to visit to adhere to the Schengen rules, and he agreed and said he would spend some time in Split next winter.
Awesome as usual!
Any idea where you guys wants to settle?
Thank you kindly.
Enjoyed watching this Video. Seems like this is a more happening place and sure will add this to my bucket list of places to visit. The beaches, the trails, and the rock formations were awesome and thanks for sharing them. Next video perhaps the long trek to Lisbon? Cheers!
love your content, thanks for sharing!!
Thank you guys for this lovely video. As previously mentioned in one of my comments, whilst the country and the towns are pretty,I felt that there wasn’t much happening. I had considered moving to Portugal but this observation from my short visit made me rethink as to whether this country is for me. I have just returned from the Spanish
At some point it might be fun to hear you rate all the places you've traveled to from favorite to least favorite. or maybe just pick your top three.
Mostly very nice looking, but maybe I’m just an old fart but I get so sick of so much graffiti in so many towns.
Love seeing the sites around Lagos. I miss that place so much. Thanks!
Looks like I got the green light to cut down our departure date from the original plan of about 3 years from now to about half that time. I better start getting busy with all the downsizing, research, and other prep work! 😲 You two definitely get an assist in the box score for nudging us out the door and over to your neck of the woods sooner than originally planned. Thanks for the motivation! Love what you two are doing. And you know what I'm going to say next . . . keep 'em coming! 🙂 Cheers! 🍻
Hi Brian and Carrie- Do you have a residency in any of these European places or you just visit them as they come along your travel plans?
We are trying to decide if we should AirBnB without applying for a residency anywhere… Do you have a permanent Place in Europe? Which one would be your favorite to finally settle in after so much exploring? thank you so much for the Great videos, 🍻
We were there in 2018. It looks like there is a lot more street art now. We did note that it looks like Lagos is a major destination for Brits on holiday.
Great video! Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
If you had to live in Lagos or Tavira for a year, which would you pick? Also how much is that apartment for a month? Looks like a fabulous place.
Great video the Algarve is beautiful been with my wife many times
Stay safe Phil from Belfast
Great Video! We were in Lagos in early April and really enjoyed the town. Purchased the ceramic grater plate from the market! It really works!
If you enjoy hiking, hike from Praia de Porto Mós in Lagos over to Praia da Luz, have lunch, then hike back. So beautiful! 😍
You guys should pop across to Alvor
