Kev ive not had a prob with Virgin media in the islands, my phone (sim only) just auto switch's over to Telefonica and off i go, still have my unlimited mins and txts and data plan, the only thing i can suggest is find the local Telefonica shop and ask for help

I’ve never been to Lanzarote so don’t know much about the resorts. I’d love to know if there are any bars, restaurants etc off the front in Puerto del Carmen or is everything just spread out along the promenade?

The cycle path has JUST ( and I think still being) redone within the last few weeks, all the way from Matagorda to the of PDC, now it's nice and smooth, it's been awful for years! Golden Chopsticks is the Chinese near where you stayed 😊 I think I'll be able to sort your phone out from what I've seen online, it might not be a setting on your phone as Virgin do it differently by using your account!

IF you want to experience a real old locals bar – go to Bar Puerto Del Carmen — just before the crossroads as you head into the old part ( after the Biosphere shopping centre going down the hill ) easy to miss small hole in the wall kinda place but fool of character – go in the morning or evening as it shuts for a few hours in the afternoon — opens around 7am and closes around midnight

Go to Matcos bar in Los Pocillios by the roundabou at Los Jameos, live music from 9pm every night and open late not far from Alba Dreams where you went last time. Also walk along past Matagorda to end of airport runway during daytime. Been going to Lanzarote for 36 years since I was 16. Best place in world.
