We are in the middle of renovating our house in an abandoned Portuguese village. Today i am proceeding with the mini rebuild, where I am alone on site today. I put in the window, what goes a lot smoother then the window in the main house. I’m learning..! Also i give the beams a last layer of treatment against the wood eating bugs.

I expended a lot of effort and expense to have a Portuguese license placard put on my new moto quatro. I did not want to take the chance of GNR catching me on the roads without one. But then my house is in a bustling village near a town, not an abandoned village. Although I've been told if we stay for a while we will not have any neighbors as they are dropping quickly. Most are old. And no younger folks are moving in. Houses just get locked up, lights off.
Septic tank could be blocked or full, May have to pump it out, dealing with Grumpies yikes sorry pass we are also on septic 😁😬💩🙈🏃♀️

Hi, Jasper. I think you might be more comfortable with a buzz cut for the hot weather, eh? Also, ramen noodles don't offer much sustensnce for your bod… can you find whole grain pasta? Whole grains combined with legumes (lentils, chickpeas etc) form a complete vegan protein and are filling. Add sauces, cheeses, eggs, meat so your body can have more nutricious calories to work with.
Foam & caulk, not cement for window.
Box of enzymes for septic.
Also plumber for long term fix.
Outdoor sink, and/or
Dishwashing machine for u seems right.
Please be careful with quads & dry grass — the largest ever fires in California started with 1 spark onto 1 blade of grass that turned towns into ashes and killed folks who were stuck bc they were alone and could not drive out.
Just like you have many tasks to attend to, you must discipline yourself to nourish your body at regular intervals thru each day. You have to be healthy to work through your long game plans.

I would think that you should squeeze caulking around the edges before any 'cement' because there should be no gaps and should be something to hold the window in place or it will fall out one day. You might also consider having wood trim inside and out which would need to be drilled for screws through the trim into the wall.

You heard of caulking for windows.you can use foam insulation first then caulk windows.
To much rain for ur septic tank.you need plumber to put lid so you can buy pump to drain just water not shit.plùs no flush paper.

Your sewage drainage is not a septic tank, it is a cesspool. As far as I know, cesspools are not up to code anymore, so you will probably have to install an actual septic tank. You can seal the window on the inside and outside with some caulk used for windows. That will take care of the gap. Yes, I do think your idea of inserting some shutters in the window opening would look very nice.
