In December, Patterson signed at Portimonense. In 14 games played, he averaged 14.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.0spg while shooting 64% from the field. He helped his team secure maintenance in the FPB Proliga league.

Patterson, is a free agent heading into the 2022-23 season. He has dual-citizenship (Jamaican and American Passport).
