We are in the middle of renovating our house in an abandoned Portuguese village. In this episode Duarte and me clean up the mini rebuild building site. The rubble all has to move to the other land down the road. We don’t have a trailers so we doing it by hand. Also i see what the lintels look like after the pour and we put the lintel for the window in. We didn’t get that far today due to the current upload schedule.. lets see if we can find a solution for that also. In the next episodes we hope to put in the other lintel, do some more cementing.
My name is Jasper and i bought a house in a Portuguese ghost town. Together with my dogs Zoey& Akira we show you the rebuild of our house en what it is like living the daily life in Central Portugal.

Btw Jasper thanks for your videos teaching the importance of lintels. A few years ago I put in a new bathroom window with no lintel ! so far nothing has happened but at least if it does fall out one day I will know why !
Is Dwight ur son
Love ur new hair looks great 👍
Nice to see someone with you like duarte, hes like minnie you haha, make funny things after work done.
great job on lintal
Mini rebuild seems to have concrete floor? So you cannot have more headroom easily to dig it lower. But you could now quite easily gain more headroom by lifting the roof a tile or two? You have some haelthy mysli-breakfasts, long walks and yoga. But even easier to gaing in health would be stopping smoking. But you of course know that already 😉 To me it went a appr 15 years before I got that knowledge stuffed inside my head… Nice seen you such a good working mood.
Hi, the two new lintels will need supporting in the middle, when in place as they can bend with there own weight. It takes up to 28 days to for concrete to dry to full strength.
Congratulations to 10000 subscribers👌
Good job👍✌️and now take a cold shower and drink a coffee😎
Jasper, you need to eat more food or take a weekend rest. You look so thin, your bones are showing through. Take every weekend a break. Rest your body.
keep up the good work, getting it tidy was a job well done!
yessss, pool time!!!😊 maybe if you get time.
great work thanks for the video ❤
nice ending of the video! the reveal (and b-roll) is very important! we want to see the effect of your work 💪💪🛠️👨🏼🎨👷🏻♂️
in the small house, it will be excruciatingly hot day and night because the sun will beat on it all day and at night the walls will restore all the accumulated heat, moreover, the window and the door are facing west, it will be unbearable, it would be necessary to provide a large cap the width of your house to the wall of the street to prevent the sun from beating on this very exposed west face and to reduce the light intensity of the room to rest the eyes
Duarte is v v hard working young man.. Just loving him👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Jasper and Duarte. Thanks for the waves, Mexican one back to yous both. Enjoyed your walk, Akeria waits for you and watches out for you Zoey does her own thing…..The wisteria, purple flowers look so lovely. I enjoy the drone shots as well. Lintels came out of the box so nicely and looks amazing in place. Cleaning up is always a bind, you both work good as a team. Happy Easter to you all. My youngest son goes blond on his fringe as well in the hot sun. Nice look on you Jasper. Stay safe guys.

Congrats on 10k subs. Should be a 100k with your humorous content.
The forests you take your girls for a walk, are they privately owned or state owned?
Duart is looking more like you and you are looking more like him 😏 😆🙃
What ever works best for you will work for us. I'll watch your vlogs when ever they are available. Great lintels BTW!!!
You need to get a move on or your new editor will be sleeping under the stars ..LOL
Great work as usual Jasper & Duarte, Hey Jasper isn’t it about time to set up the pool again. It sure would be refreshing after you both finish work.
Just wondering. Do you think there is a way to hitch Tiny Tim to the four wheeler? It would beat walking those wheelbarrows so far. Love the videos.♥️
Good morning! Enjoyed the walk – everything seems to be in bloom including the tree with the beautiful purple flowers in front of the green house. Een goed begin is het halve werk. How convenient to be able to dump your rubble at your "other property" nearby. You've made a lot of progress this week. Enjoyed the video.
How come you move the rubble to other land? Why not get rid of it completely
Outstanding work!!!
Hazel ☘️ …
Rig up a cam on Zoey I’d love to know where she goes ? (Would that be possible ? )
Speaking of your girls I do miss them talk ! (I’ve learned no more Portuguese since they stopped ! )
🙏☘️😘
why dont you put the lintels first, then build on them ???
Thanks for your vid, maybe a little tractor could help to bring the ruble away.😇💟💟💟 love you guys.
The lintels look great! Nice job on the mold for those. Looking forward to seeing the work on the window opening once they are both installed.
Thank you!
Great work guys, but why not do the sides first and the lintel last to top/finish it off? In that case you have more room to pour the cement on the sides….
😀
Viewer #33 today–and I'm on the other side of the planet.
The first lintel is looking excellent. The forming for the sides of the window opening will be interesting, considering that the schist wall is so much thicker. I'm curious how you will solve that problem, but probably so are the other 9,999 people watching.
