Can you form a company in Montenegro and pay zero tax?
Yes, you can, under certain conditions!

Historically Montenegro was one of the few last countries in Europe with an extremely favorable tax regime. You’d pay 9% tax on all income and call it a day.

Unfortunately, recently they’ve introduced progressive taxation.
Progressive taxation of corporate profits is introduced as of 1 January 2022:
Profits up to €100,000 are subject to a 9% tax
Profits ranging from €100,000 to €1,500,000 are subject to a 12% tax
Profits over €1,500,000 are subject to a 15% tax
The withholding tax rate is increased to 15%

But there is a catch! If you form a company in the undeveloped northern region you can pay no tax on your profits, if you make up to 200 000 euros per year in profit.
Even though this is not a lot of money, some people can definitely take advantage of this system and pay zero tax in Montenegro.

  1. I became an ACCA at the age of 22 years and I have set up a Company so I would like to help Companies post the nine years Tax free Rules so kindly suggest a suitable plan for me to work for the Companies in Montenegro

  2. I read an article yesterday saying Montenegro is coming out with a 2 year Digital Nomad Visa, which can be extended for an additional 2 years and is tax exempt. Would you know what are the income requirements? It doesn't mention it in the article. I'm guessing it's not official yet.

  3. Love the content. I live in UAE but business set up too expensive for me. If I set up business in Georgia (small business lisence with 1% tax). Do I have to stay in Georgia? Or can I just travel there set up the business and fly back to Dubai? Kindly let me know please.
