I live in Santa Rosa, California, and a few years ago we lost our house and everything we have ever loved and treasured inside. It's the worst experience you can imagine. We are seriously considering areas around Lisbon to emigrate to in the next year or so. Firestorms are scary, scary things. It never occurred to me that Portugal had wildfires as well. Sigh……..
