  1. If renting from a double income expat perspective it might seem reasonable although I disagree till some extent especially renting in Joburg 2 k USD can get you way better property then Accra presents. But it's also the market demand momentum, safety and Obroni coming in jacking up the prices. I have traveled many countries in the continent and barely any builds affordable housing for the locals which is a shame. Even most diaspora cannot afford it.

  2. Is garden the word for yard. Here in the USA garden means you are growing plants, fruit, vegetables, even weeds if you trifling. All is see is yard and tress, that's why I'm asking. From Texas.

  3. Let's all take into account the income of people renting the house. Despite Vanessa being a Scot and Ghanaian, she lives and works in Scotland. Thus her income plus her husband's will allow for them to rent at that price.
Allow a girl to live a little and chillax

  4. House rent for 20000$?.Food, school fees etc has not be included?I now see the reasons diaspora are moving back to Europe. Thank God you moved back with your family to Scotland, you took the best decision. Over charging people from diaspora in Africa is not good.

  5. The point some people are making here is NOT about Vanessa. This is about a $2000 monthly rent vis-à-vis salaries of Ghanaian workers in Ghana. Has nothing to do with Canada, Scotland, US – NY, DC etc. Of course, there are poor people everywhere in the world but that’s not what is being discussed here. Salary scales are different from country to country for a reason. Bye.

  6. Some of the comments exposes your ignorance. Remember Vanessa is a middle class woman in every instrument you use in analyzing her. You don’t expect her to live like you. This is how most middle class people live worldwide. She makes her money not locally. Some of us pay as much as £18,000.00 not dollars a year for one child’s education in UK. This is the route some of us may have chosen that is our business. The average middle class in Uk spends well more than £2000 on their house rent or mortgage. Some of us have chosen to give our children the best education, live in areas of affluence etc. That is a choice. Why can’t Vanessa do they same. We are not all equal demographically. Let wisdom be applied to your comments. Again she is not at your gate begging for support ❤️

  7. Totally RUBBISH. Vanessa is an adult and she doesn’t come to you with a begging basket. $2000 for this magnificent house is peanut to all intent and purposes for the international market. Anyway she didn’t move out because she couldn’t afford. She is building her own house and as a pregnant woman who can benefit from dual citizenship, which most wealthy Westerners do, she’s opted to go back to Scotland for a period of time. What is your problem with that?
