  1. I'm a fan of your videos! It is so interesting to hear about life in Istanbul and learning how inflation is affecting all of us. Another commenter is right, those prices are much lower than in the US, but we have to remember the salaries and pay is also quite different there, so I am sad for those that are struggling to feed their families.

  2. There’s been definitely a major hit with the inflation.. but what your Turkish friend is saying is quite 1 sided & shows only a narrative which is untrue.

Also, I’m a Turkish national and there’s no law that’s come out on imprisonment!

Sorry but this video of yours is quite false & having 2 people just talk out of line for Türkiye…
P.S. your friend Nick is pretending to be someone else, who would leave a cop job and be a English instructor..living in Türkiye, if he doesn’t like the nation then he should go to someplace else. (He seems like an informant)

This country is very chill as I’ve been staying here for years now.

  3. Glad you are happy to get your 1 year residency. Nice to have a place to stay for a while. I am a small town person. Content for quiet and be alone. I understand your sadness about the Ukraine situation and being treated bad for being Russian. I am a Conservative US citizen and we are attacked and put down by the Democrats that usually just speak, but without facts. I can use facts and site real history. I enjoy conversations with different views when both people understand they may not agree. My family has history in the wars that shaped my country and WWII. Enjoy your time in Turkey and your youth. Keep the videos coming. They are as good as any other I have seen.

  4. Another great video, Dari! Like you and Nick mentioned, Istanbul looks like a great city to visit; however, it may not be quite as ideal for those thinking of moving there if they are not fans of large cities. Still, there appears to be many pleasant, less-populated areas to visit within a short travel distance.

  5. This was a rather different and more informative and interesting video of life in Istanbul I saw in this channel. I look forward to seeing more of it.

  6. I would like a post card Daria! I can send one to you from Hollywood, Don California USA by the way what is the best thing to do to get a Russian girlfriend if you’re just walking down the street and a guy likes a girl? What is the best thing to say? That would get her interest to get propose a date? Don

  7. Istabul seen to be a really interesting place, but inflation there its terrible! I thought the situation here in Brazil was bad, but there seen so much worst. Except for the food in the market which the price are quite similar to turkey, the rest of things here still much more cheaper. But I hope you enjoy the new chapter of your life in turkey. Best wishes for you Dari 🙌🏼🙌🏼

  8. Have to say there’s no such thing: western price or American price. Even in New York it depends on where you live. I just checked Airbnb in Istanbul. There are lots of options which are less than 1000 bucks.
