NAZARE PORTUGAL 2022 We were lucky to be able to housesit for our good friends Sandy and Roy in Nazaré in February and March!

That meant we could catch the 2022 Tudor WSL Tow Surf Challenge, and explore more of this amazing seaside town!

In this video we show:

• The best value lunch menu in Nazaré for only €8 – so good that we kept going back!
• The reality of sea mist during a Big Wave competition
• Carnaval da Nazaré – music, dancing and traditional costumes
• A few glimpses of the lovely cats we were looking after
• A tasty meal for people who don’t need any type of salad or garnish 🤣

  1. Nearly tempted to get me ironing board a heading over 🌊 that Brazilian feed looked the business, rechecked your vid on Tallinn Estonia sold deed is done off October 😎👍

  2. Always enjoy your informative videos .Truly inspirational . Have you ever taken the ferry south from Lisbon to Barreiro ? I got the impression that prices are lower down that way and on to Setubal but there is still lots to see and do . Good health .

  3. Thank you so much for this great video. My husband and I are moving to Nazaré in July. Have a lovely place 1/2 way up to sítio with a great view. Wish you were going to still be there when we arrive. In the meantime, I have taught my American coworkers to use the term "busting for the loo" because it makes me laugh! ❤️

  4. Thanks for another wonderful video. Curious about your library tip. 📙 It never dawned on me that libraries in PT carry books in English. It kinda makes sense—now that I’m thinking about it. 🤔 Do you find books in English common in PT libraries? Cheers. 🎉

  5. Another great video both. My husband and I have been trying out some of the restaurants you have recommended in previous videos so will now try the Brazilian in Nazare.😀

  6. Thank you for this video about one of the most amazing places in Portugal. I worked in Nazareth as a teacher 23 years ago and I had a chance to enjoy the village, the incredible scenery, the beaches and the monuments. Watching your video made me remember that time. Cheers.

  7. ❤❤❤ i came back from Portugal and Spain about a month ago and was there for two wks. I’ve seen reviews about lack of vegetables on the menu as well. The food prices were so affordable and I just love Portugal so much and your budget eat vids as always.

  8. Yes! The perfect vlog!

Proving that being outside, especially at the coast can be invigorating, life affirming and of course free! Those views, sunsets and the excitement of nature's magnificence watching those waves… you must get so many natural highs.

Also there is something special about local produce eaten outside. I love seeing what you have for your picnic lunches!
The Brazilian restaurant, just stunning food at an unbelievable price!
Libraries… not been to one abroad… great tip!

    Update:

The Balkans did not let me down. £321 for 15 days so £21.40 per day. I made sensible choices most of the time but of course if I wanted a drink or a meal at a local restaurant I had it (picking a local dish). I loved the Tavce Gravce beans!

I also bought a few small souvenirs and went kayaking!
The people I met were incredible too. And we talked, alot, great conversation, not looking at phones.

    And a frugal development..
I am returning to volunteer at a hostel in North Macedonia in July. It's at Lake Ohrid and one of the best hostels I have stayed at and best of all there is a folk festival whilst I am there! Like your carnival… amazing!
I just formed a good rapport with the owner then asked if they wanted help this summer.

Looking forward to your next film. You inspire me so much!
I hope you don't mind me sharing my updates. 🇲🇰😃

  9. Great video guys. ❤ so glad you shared more of Nazare, my fav place in Portugal. Thanks for the meal tips. Hey I love a good bench lunch, how was the colour of the sky behind Lee, and the million dollar view.
Definitely going to seek out that Brazilian place for lunch when I'm there next.
    Brilliant, thanks 😊.
