I don't think it has the stance of the XC90. The proportions is too long and high – not wide. The front lacks personality and reminds me of the Aiways U6. The back is nothing like the wide, planted XC90. The interior at the driver's seat looks cheap, Chinese and too reliant on generic touch surfaces/screen controls… I hope seeing it for real changes my mind

Very good video, thanks Kris and greetings from Finland! I really like the design and it is not too big to my eyes. Proportions ok and about the same lenght than our V90 CC. The grill or actually not having the traditional grill is good choice. Compared to BMW iX huge "mouth" this is very classy and nice. From side the EX90 looks a lot like Mazda CX-60 to my opinion. The back is good design and not any weird angles and odd curves. Nice! The interior is little bit minimalistic and nothing flashy. There can be some changes still to come. Powerline is good and sufficient. Economy wise we have to wait for your road tests. You have a tough choice to make, which car to prefer more then when you get both Volvo EX90 or Polestar 3… Do you know anything more specific about the other EVs Volvo is releasing in 2023? I have heard something below the XC40/C40 segment and are they going to replace the XC40 totally new? 30 series sedan maybe ES30 or XC60 replacement EX60 following the cool naming procedures… Polestar 4 is coming maybe in 2024 and I am waiting that car and maybe buy one in the future if it is good model. Think Volvo and Polestar have lost it, this is the wrong way to go the world need smaller cheaper cars not theese big monster SUV’s that consume alot of electricity, makes noe sense at all.
There Are more people for those cheaper cars.

I’m extremely happy for Volvos design here. I’m disappointed that we are still not seeing a 135kw pack though. I’m a not paying 100k for a car I can’t drive 400 miles on a charge. We love our 2018 xc90 inscription and would love the convenience of a charge that can be better than our current petro powered vehicle.

You’re right on that I think Volvo got this design perfect though. Sticking to their current roots with a touch of extra flavor and class. Not so much that it sticks out like a sore thumb

Peak of 250kW DC seems a bit strange, 500A is the limit of CCS2 if we assume the peak is 250kW then we need a voltage of 500V, all 400V chargers go to 500V so that should work, but what is then the nominal voltage of this pack?

Kris, how come you don’t discuss the ending sneak peak from official announcement video? The other car in the shadow looks like possibly the future EX60 or even EX40 as it has a slightly different taillight design.

Love it, finally a beautiful and practical suv. No silly grille or tiny boot like BMW. But it is enormous for European roads. I think it's an EX60 for me

Absolutely love this design, whilst it resembles the old XC90 it's also quite different in a positive way, love the front and side views, and while the rear is my least favoured view, it's still far better than the original XC90 ! never did like that rear end design, but now it's been updated and I love all angles of this car, looks classy and modern, the interior looks gorgeous to me from that single picture, I just love the whole car, just wish I had the wherewithal to be able to buy one !

If you need a seven-seater; take a box SUV like the EX90. If you like a sporty SUV; take the Polestar 3. Probably mostly the same car, but you get a nicer and about €10,000 cheaper car.😉

I want to see the car in different colors first. The exterior is evolutionary and the interior is very updated and more Scandinavian than ever. I think I like the interior. The exterior is attractive but I'm wondering if it'll look dated in 3 or 4 years.

My configuration would cost 1800€ per month. My wife would kill me🤪🤪🫣 But I think I had almost everything 🤷‍♂️

Man the design is comes from xc40 open eyes xc40 is key of Volvo now they try XC90 or ex90 grow up ok never forget that.

I really like the design from the exterior side, but I must say I am not a fan of everything being controlled on a screen. I need some buttons, and I would like a lot of them. actually it is a dealbreaker for me.
