A Fabulous Carrot Cake recipe with Andrea

Carrot Cake Recipe ;
240g/8oz Carrots
10g/2oz Walnuts
2 Eggs
180g/6oz Sugar
180g/8fl/Oz olive oil
Lemon Juice
180g/6oz Self Raising Flour
1 TSP Baking Powder
1/2 TSP bicarbonate of soda
1/2 TSP Ground Cinnamon
1/2 TSP salt

Topping
90g/3oz butter(melted)
1/2 TSP vanilla extract
90g/3oz Philidelphia/cream cheese( full fat)
180g/6oz Icing Sugar

Nick, You may find that the only way to get the felt to flow around the pockets is to do the stapling around the tops like it was done because it will want to get pleats in the cloth trying to staple lower. If any one can make it work I am sure it will be you!!!!! Andrea great job on the carrot cake, its our family favorite and we all get it for our birthdays.

    Oooo your balls are going to run smoothly. 🤣 Are the pocket curves made of wood or cork? It would be wonderful if you just happened to know someone in Portugal where there are lot's of beautiful cork trees.🙄 Looks like about a 5" diameter branch cork wrap should fit 😁🤣

  3. I scrape the bowl to an inch of its life. I cannot watch those chefs who use huge bowls and have tiny amounts of ingredient yet produce abundance of mixture while still managing to waste half of it in the bowl. 😆

  4. It's delightful to watch you two! I am in 100% agreement with Andrea, regarding the wasteful television chefs. It makes no sense, to waste ingredients, even if it's a filming/timing issue. Great job on the billiard table.

I think it most unfair that you subject us to watching you make a carrot cake, and yet someone gets a slice besides licking the spoon, we get nothing !!!!!!!! most unfriendly !!!! on another subject, I am completely inlove with your granite counter tops, they aremost psychedelic. I just think I would have a very hard time finding things on it since its camouflage is very strong !!!! You have remained very quiet about the ruin on your property, what are you planning for that potentially lovely structure?

  6. Fantastic to see you go from strength to strength each week Andrea . Laughing here at your recipe guide as my daughter dislikes my recipe guides and want repeatable phenomenon as she calls them she objects strongly to the slight differences each time so I’ve started my own book with lots of tatty old bits of paper all in one book instead of poked in the pages of many cook books but apparently this doesn’t count lol . Love to you both from a not so sunny Dorset .

  8. I use apple sauce instead of oil or butter for the healthier aspect and toasted walnuts. Yours looks delish! I’m with you on the waste by the tv chefs, plus I might be tempted to scrape the bowl myself! 😳
