  1. Bournemouth might be active in the transfer market with the new owners. Also don't think they need all that many reinforcements to survive. Mostly they need to avoid more injuries. The squad is better than people thought they would be, and I think they're still underrated in the outright markets, as well as in individual matches.

Yesterday at close, Leicester were 1.3 to win v MK dons in the cup, a team playing 2 leagues below them, and in bad form. Newcastle otoh were 1.34 to beat Bournemouth of the same league.

Granted, cherries had some injuries and Newcastle were the better side in xG terms. But the cherries had chances to win that game, eventually losing it with a solitary own goal. In the other match predictably Leicester gave Milton Keynes no chance with a 0-3 scoreline.

  2. Current narrative going around in the sports media is that there'll be this avalanche of injuries now because of the WC. Don't think that is the case, as most nations, apart from the top 4 finishers, haven't played all that much in the last month. Some EPL teams with a competent manager, or a heavy injury list, might be better off having had the winter break.
