Off-grid Homestead in Central Portugal / AWESOMENESS

With the help from volunteers Raymond and Sandra, and a visit from Stephanie, we managed to get a lot more work done. I look at what has been achieved and there’s only one word that comes to mind – awesomeness.
I’ve been spending evenings creating designs of the kune kune pigs at Bela Pedra to put on t-shirts and other merch in my Redbubble shop. You can find some of them here by clicking on the links below. It’s still a work in progress as I’m working on more designs. When it’s all done, I’ll add them to my website as well.

  1. Really good to see you getting so far with your kitchen, not commented in a while…. Dont throw 2 pieces of that cardboard away, the box with 'sink' on it, use that to steer the pigs, you just block them with it as they cant see past it they turn. with that run you have they will just walk down it, works very well. 🙂

  2. Great week Cindy! Nice to see so many people building your farm with you. Your awesomeness attracts people to you! See you next time and thanks for sharing.

  3. How come you're spray painting the crates? This leads to an uneven and coarse finish. I'd have put on a coat of primer followed by a coat or two of gloss colour for a lovely even result. Spray paint is typically used to paint the chassis of a car.

  4. Your place is really coming along and looking great. Cindy you are looking very fit and agile! I can really tell a difference how you get around now and six months ago. Looking great ❤❤

  5. The kitchen is coming right along! Nick will have it closed in hopefully soon. I suppose he will build the walls for the 2nd bedroom and bathroom. He's such a super hero! Thandie❤ is such a big girl now. It's so great to have volunteers, lots of work gets done. 🙂👍👍👍👍
