If we had to choose our best surprise destination in Portugal, we would definitely go for Alentejo’s coast, the beautiful Costa Vicentina. The small village of Villa Nova de Milfontes is very popular with Portuguese families during the Summer months but receives relatively few foreign tourists. This contributes to a completely different vibe, more relaxed and authentic, compared to the resorts in the Algarve.
