Pizza in Napoli and we made it to Sicily | England to Sicily: The Last Leg

The Last Leg | England to Sicily Road Trip Part Three

We left our overnight accommodation in Rome and headed off south to the town of Cosenza. On the way down we took the Bonneville of the trailer and rode into Naples for pizza.

And then onto the final stretch; the ferry from Villa San Giovanni to Sicily.

  1. So jeaulous when I see these videos.
The interior is probably all Sicilian ceramics, make sure to visit some of the towns where they sell them. They are Burgio, Caltagirone, Patti, Santo Stefano di Camastra and Sciacca.
Driving in Italy is crazy indeed, the more south you go the less the lines on the road have meaning and listen for the horn music as you stop to let a pedestrian cross. It's simply not done there 🤣
Keep making these videos and living the life mate. Hope you have a glorious a stay as I did several years back.
Can't wait to buy my own Triumph and do some road trips myself.

  2. Great channel, great journey! I've driven from the UK to Malta, thankfully taking the ferry from Genoa to Sicily. Are you planning on popping over to Malta, lovely architecture, a mix of Italian, British and Arabic influences. Perhaps not as chaotic as driving in Italy though road signs tend to be treated as mere suggestions and you will likely come across cars and motorbikes from the 1970s in immaculate condition. Driving with familiarity on the left, I think both you and Monica would enjoy it. Definitely worth a visit having come so far!

  3. So, when you add in the cost of dining, you've spent perhaps $120.00 US per person/per day on your trip so far. That seems very reasonable, especially considering the overall quality of the experience. Well done!

  4. love the show …. please get crap coffee in a polystyrene cup and a bacon sandwich with heinz or hp. over looking a rainy, british, …. bike meet up. look at each others bikes then head somewhere or home. you just rubbing in the life sometimes. pizza in Napoli? finest coffee, nice views (if you know) perspective I suppose. Lucky for some enjoy!!
i miss the shit coffee days when it was just a drink to help wake you up but tasted bad. not the " thing to do" bikes/naughty riding used to be at the centre. the posh ones always kill the cool. now its sit still and eat posh. buy the merch to buy into the scene easy..
Freddies ok, the scene not so healthy in some parts

  5. As an italian fan of yours I suggest you to stop a couple days in Torino (Turin) while traveling back home. It’s a really nice and quiet city to visit, with lots of history and a nice cuisine. But most of all you can find an outstanding Automobile museum, that you’ll love. Have a nice holyday in our crazy country 🙂

  6. Visited Messina a couple of times from our cruise ship, we found it tired and dirty, not the best example of a Sicilian town for the tourists.
Another excellent vlog from you both, most enjoyable.

  7. We have been to palermo this summer and it was beautiful. There are a lot of hidden gems but two places you should definitely visit are I Segreti del Chiostro inside Palermo and Cefalù, a smaller town in the east. Have a wonderful stay!

  8. I could palpate your nervousness in Napoli, but thanks for showing it us. I have ridden a scooter along the amalfi coast 2 up that was hairy and many years ago. I have also ridden through Northern Italy and totally different and relaxing

  9. So nice following you along on this trip😀 I was actually in Naples a few months back and would not have wanted to ride my motorbike there 😅. Amazing country, enjoy your time in Sicily!
