Some of the best beaches are the ones that you have to work a little bit to get to. They are also the ones that gives your daughter a chance to give a little lip about the walk.

The Ponta Grande Beach Cave is just outside of Albufeira, Portugal, and is a nice walk down a rocky path built into the cliffside that spits you out inside one of the Algarve’s awesome beach caves. The beach area is fully enclosed with soaring cliffs rising into the sky around you and there is an archway that lets you peer out into the Atlantic ocean from inside.

The cliffs above the Beach Cave are full of trails for exploring and offer some great photo ops, too. In the next video we will explore just a little bit more around the area, but for this one – enjoy the beach cave!
