** ABOUT US **
We are an English family, Alex Molly and Sandra living the Portugal farm life.
This year will be our eighth year here so we have a lot to share.

Bringing you every aspect of our daily farm lives, including Molly and Alex cooking amazing meals in our old wood fired Portuguese bread oven and sharing our recipes with you, plus everything involved in running a working goat farm 🐐🐐🐐🐐.

Follow us as we renovate the buildings around our old bread oven and other buildings on the farm with natural materials, re-building and planting the vegetable patch after the fire destroyed it all.

Building the new goat barn and milking parlour🍼, our days with the goats, births and milking them.
Molly making soaps🛀🧴 and many types of cheeses🧀🧀 from our own goats milk.
Watch what we grow, daily farm life and chores, visiting local sites and showing you the local area.
Plus lots more……… and the milking goats!🐐🐐🐐

“Quinta” stands for ‘farm’ in Portuguese. “Fonte da Pipa” means “Source of the Barrel”

  1. Hi Alex and Co. Wasps nests I hate….the grills look amazing and worth every penny. A job well done as usual that will last the test of time. Sorry about the jeep, in good hands with Alex, the machine wizard. Pipes and leaks all sorted now. Goats having a good pedi, on going job. It's heating up so fast this year 41 for me at the min,no cloud or rain. Why do you put water in the tyres? Stay safe everyone, thanks for sharing.

  2. There's never an idle day on the farm. You certainly can get things done. I live in a rural area.(Nova Scotia) I often encounter farm machinery of some sort going from a to b. They bounce like crazy while going down the road. I suspect the tires are filled with air.🙂👍👍👍

  3. Another very busy and interesting week on the farm! Ollie and Yana are certainly learning all about the ins and outs of farm life, while being extremely helpful. They will be experts by the time they have their own

  4. Nice progress I bet you’re glad the queen wasn’t home Just keep in mind in a couple years you will have to clean the grill due to the buildup 👍now it’s time to take care of that nest that was in your tree🍻🍻👍✌️🤙❤️🇵🇹❤️

  5. Too bad you don't have a drain snake and esp one that fits a camera on it..then you could see wherever the end of the drain snake goes…might be fun to have just to look in any holes, see what's in there…

  6. Alex, where did you aquire all your skills from? So skilled! Wish I had a partner or friend so skilled…
Alex, do you have a brother as skilled as you? 🙂

  7. Blooming heck – if I had strapped myself to that chimney the whole thing would have come off. Wow your grill looks great compared to my chicken wire job! You may have had a bit of trouble with those ice engines but what an amazing bit of luck you have had with the fabulous Ollie and Jana! Just fabulous to see your efforts paying off and great to know that you have fixed Ollies jeep before the problems got any worse.

  8. What a couple of weeks you had. Achieved so much. The OCD in me wanted to see that all the Nest was gone..🐝🐝🐝To think In Molly's room scary. Alex doing a Roof highwire act on Friday 13th…no fear😅🥰
