Each blaspemy is another stone to the edifice of your glory
Am I the rock on which you'll build your church
Am I the son you've been waiting for?
    Am I the chosen one?
To be your messiah on earth
And to sit at your left in hell
    I've always ignored the doubt
    Answers are in the questions
Show me the way to the Baphomet's throne
Guide my hand, light my path
My mouth will speak with your words
I'll make statements with your orders
    I'll be the supreme insult
Which will forevermore soil the image of God
I will be your revenge, I will be your victory
Guide my hand, light my path
    Show me the way
To reach one day the Baphomet's throne

  2. So – the Templar bits are obvious – medieval castle pediments etc, and then there are the Islamic traditional bits – the arches, inner courtyards etc…who was here first – the Templars came after the Islamic invasions of Portugal & Spain ? – then all the blue tile stuff in Portugal is likely inherited from the Islamic tradition – those gorgeous tiles are everywhere in Portugal, and were they in use before the Dutch/English/Italians ever got involved in blue/white ceramic work ? Those ceramics are my personal favorite art work.

  3. This place is magical.  However it is really too  bad  Portugal has allowed it to  reach such an obvious state of disrepair. Tomar  is not only a treasure for  Portugal but the entirety of Western Civilization.

  4. the lusitanians of today have a inheritance , so rich that they even do not know of , all thanks to our lusitanian ancestors that shed they lives and blood for us to have it , to any NATIVE LUSITANIAN , that should be reminded nothing come given it was defended with ultimate sacrifice until this days

  5. No history you see england and is full of not only great video but so much history it is enjoyable to watch here music come on tell us about it or pack it in.

  6. Portugal was the only country in Europe that did not persecute and burn Templars.

Templars were founded in 1119 and existed in Portugal since 1122, but later on, in 1319, they were renamed the military "Order of Christ" (also called Christ's Knights Order) with the protection of the Portuguese King after they were abolished in 1312 by the Pope.
All the Templars who managed to survive their mass slaughter, came to Portugal and rejoined the order that would last until the fall of the Monarchy in 1910.
Almost 800 years of presence (1122-1910).

From this point forward, the Portuguese Empire (that started in 1415 with the conquering of Ceuta from the Arabs) relied heavily on the Templars during the Age of Discoveries who accumulated great riches and power.
All the Portuguese ships during this time had the Templars Red Cross on their sails if you didn't notice.

Portugal was a country who was basically established by Templars and that had a lot of experience fighting Islam and spreading Christianity from all of the years of "Reconquista" in the Iberian Peninsula and the Crusades in North of Africa and Asia.
In the Reconquista, the first King of Portugal D. Afonso Henriques and his army with the aid of the Knights Templar, defeated the 5 Muslim Kings. The King himself, was brought up as a Templar when he was young.
Legend states that Christ appeared before Afonso giving him and his men the strength to win against the Moors.

Curious fact: 2 of the original 11 Templar Knights (not 9), were Portuguese.

Portugal for me, is the perfect and True Home of the Order of Templars.

  7. Tomar is a Jewel for Portugal. And , for me, the long history of this Convent ,the surrounding castle ,and Templar Church defines so much of the history of Portugal, the Church, and the people who live there. One of the greatest places I have ever visited.
