This is the perfect option for people wanting to have a smallholding and be close to a town. It is quiet and has utilities. You have a nice parcel of land but also plenty of stores, etc. you can walk to if you wish. Lovely!

Junco47 is correct. This house would give a creative person hours of joy by taking it down to a blank slate and totally redesigning it. How difficult would it be to put plumbing into the old part of the house?
Neither of you mentioned the greenhouse on the property. Was it part of this land? Having this great variety of established fruit trees is definitely an added selling point. The water tank would make a great pool.
