Not sure how it works with Ireland but America has most of the same inflation and cost increase issues and its still feasible for the average person to buy a home. I looked up how much I've made my entire adult life and found out that if I had just never paid rent, or bought food or clothes or anything, ever, I could have afford a two bedroom trailer home by the time I was 42! Now I'm 43 and can't believe I didn't just live in a bush outside my job eating trash for the last twenty years so I could buy a home instead of y'know renting and eating cooked food etc.
