QUALITY vs QUANTITY – Van Life in Norway is (probably) OVER!

This week we drive our self converted campervan into the Mountains of Norway! This is a completely different van life experience to what we’ve had so far here in Norway, having stuck mostly to exploring the fjords of the west coast!
As has become the case on this Norwegian adventure, the weather is proving a challenge, we even find snow! But, this doesn’t deter us from looking for Moose or hiking up to the Snohetta viewpoint and getting the most we can out of Mountain vanlife, although we do have to evaluate whether travel is about quality vs quantity…

Van life in the mountains is brilliant, but does it see the start of the end of our time in Norway? Is this epic adventure of van life in Norway over?

Hopefully you are enjoying this European travel series as much as we are and we are managing to show you just some of the stunning landscapes that Norway has to offer in this Norwegian travel vlog.
As usual, we have tried to include a bit of everything, some cinematic scenery mixed with our usual female van life foolery, we always love hearing what you lot think in the comments so do let us know, and as always, thank you for watching!

Follow us on our journey as we attempt to create a proper youtube travel series as we, two female travelers and vanlifers, attempt to travel across Europe in our rolling tiny home.
Hit the subscribe button to see where our DIY campervan takes us next and how this van life couple copes living in a van!

Have a look at emily’s blog for her thoughts on all things van..

(this is also where you will find all our park ups and list of our film making gear)

  1. Always a pleasure to watch your videos & embrace both your fab energies. Another great one & triggering of memories for us with the bushcraft shelter of which we used to do heaps of & sleep out in the woods with our Takoda who we've mentioned before. We especially love the hammock sleep out together. He was awesome & the best cat dog ever!

    "The Destination is the Journey!"

Citronella essential oil & some others will keep those mosies of ya! xx

  2. Here is a litte fun fact for you: At 11:43 (https://youtu.be/zTPOPD8E-v4?t=703) you filmed through a life buoy.

An insurance company called Tryg (used to be called Vesta) has placed over 50 000 of them all around Norway for free. I
n 2022 it is 70 years since the first one was placed out. You can find them all around Norway.

Evere buoy has a sponsor responsible for maintance and ordering a new one from Tryg when necessary. Each year the Tryg buoys saves about 10 lives.

  3. Hiya! Can I recommend you to visit the Northern part of Norway one year? 😀 I would like you to visit Senja, Lofoten, Kvaløya, well, many places!
You should visit during Aurora Borealis times, that's also a good time with a lot less tourists on the A-routes.
Don't hestitate to contact me, I'm a local from Senja, and I know a lot of good places to visit here 🙂

  4. Just found your channel, and it`s so much fun. Hope you come back to visit us in Norway again. Start in the middle (I`m a dairy farmer in Skaun, right outside Trondheim) and drive north. There is so much to see and do 🙂

  5. Hi, thank you for sharing your journey, we will be arriving in Norway in our van in September 2022… My burning question is all about the cat 😺😺😺 can you do session all about the cat 😸😸? Does the cat stay inside the van when you go off walking etc…

  6. Amazing work as always lady's. Super scenery, super banter and super interesting escapism, essential viewing at a time, when elsewhere inthe world all seems to be mad.

  7. Stunning photography 👏👏👏
    Yes, cake stops are important!!!
The reason why you are not heading north makes perfect sense 👍
Have really enjoyed your Norwegian videos. ☺️

  8. I live close to Trondheim, her it has rained all the summer with low temperatures…. We went on a holidaytrip to Sweden, Mora. It was not the best temp, there either. But we enjoyed it. Welcome back to Norway, and dthen rive the coastroad from Trondheim (take the Fosen-ferry) and drive up to Bodø…So beautiful scenery

  9. What amazing scenery, when you were driving through the national park it looked a little like the moor at Rannock in the central Highlands of Scotland. Same issue with the midges on the west coast. I'm really enjoying this series. I can't get away on holiday this year due to work 😟 but at least I'm getting to see other scenery thanks to you both. Love Emily's potato dance 🤣. Stay safe, Sue and Bryn x

  10. I learnt on my travels, 'Enjoy where you are, not where you're going' I met so many travellers who weren't 'Here', they were always on their way to somewhere else. Some people travel just to tick off the places they've been, been there done that.
