Wow & there I was thinking you were spending most of the early quarantine making videos! But O no you were making a baby 🤣🤣🤣
I learned the hard way same as you, Top Bloke. Now I always take golf shoes with me and stuff them with balls etc. Just in case I get a game in.
I’ve found some good value in the States – the starter / caddy master gave me and my son free shoes, tees and a sleeve of balls each.
This is one massive whinge.
I really hope you threw a box of golf balls at him, told him to shove it, turned around and walked out……(without falling over)
Pinhal is bang average at best too, you saved yourself a few quid there fella. 👍🏻
Oh well. Never mind. But people will pay it if they are serious about having a round.
Careful TB, you being in your seventies means you are at greater risk. Stay safe.
went to VM in Sept 2014, even playing the discounted twilight rounds was expensive back then. Played a few local courses and the Faldo course .. which is listed as being in VM but in reality was a 50 euro taxi ride. Didn't really rate the local courses but the Faldo was fantastic … probably wouldn't go back though, much better deals / courses elsewhere
Over a 100 euros now in tenerife with a buggy, i wont pay it, what i do now is go into local charity shop and buy a club for 4 or 5 euros and go on the range for a bucket of balls, do this a couple of times a week and satisfies my golf urges till i get home.
It look fantastic travelling with empty planes and airports. Well done. Definitely taking the piss with golf prices. Especially the shoes 😂😂. Great video TB something different fantastic editing mate 👍. And congratulations on the pregnancy. I see your daughter dances like her dad 😜
"Plane more than half empty …",do you mean it's less than half full? I believe You Golf Travel offer some tremendous bargains and impeccable playing partners.
The shoes probably had worse than the rona! €200 is INSANE. Made the right choice in not playing mate.
“Keep an eye on your kids” ruthless 😂😂
you cant walk that course? walked it b4 no problem and it was nowhere near 200 euros either
I hope your not trying to keep up with Lee Whitaker and his baby, congratulations anyway and a lockdown baby.
No wonder the course was empty ,wise move not playing at those prices .
Nice bro 👍
Yo bro you out of work what do you do for job ?
Good vlog it's a ghost town
They didn't want you hacking there course up 😁
Top baby walking through the airport like she owns it😎
Very happy 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
Top bloke your a leg end!! 😂😂
Great video and bonus of Steve Earl ,Galway Girl been play in the back ground .great news on your wife being pregnant 👼🏻🪕🎶🤠
Not very wise to have made the trip to Portugal, I reckon you could have played 5 rounds of golf including a caddie, hired a car, eaten great meals each day and fantastic accomodation for less than $1500…..just down the road from you at your coastal area, Muni courses are dirt cheap in UK and are brilliant to play on, ok the food is not as good as Europe but fish & chips for lunch and dinner each day I suppose will do. Compare that with your Portugal accom of 1800$ plus your air fares and all the extras, best to stay home. Or better still, give Crozzy a call and go down to Exeter and play some golf with those YGT bum lickers, you will still have some cash left over to take a lesson or three with Cockroach Locky or Tossfield himself….I believe they are currently giving lessons for free as they have been found out! ….:-)))))))
I’m just back from Ibiza there was 15 people on the plane going out and 16 on the way back it was class
Christ, that hotel would be torture for me. You need other people for atmosphere, for conversation, to people-watch ! I'd be climbing the walls after a day, far, far too quiet, not for me, ta.
Private airport private hotel private Golf course…..well if you paid up lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn't either mind get those towels out on that private beach 🏖️😜
Congratulations! 2nd little one on the way. All the very best.
I’ve played in Phuket & Bali, stunning courses but just too expensive, cost over $500 AU for 2, plus playing in high humidity is not fun. They consider golf is for the elite of society, total snobbery.
I remember being shocked the first time I went to Portugal to play golf. Must have spent €600 in 3 days, in December!!!!
This is what went wrong with Spanish golf in the 90's. Charging too much for everything so everyone started going to Portugal.
Looks like the Iberian peninsula is out of bounds now!!
Go to Northern Ireland . The course are great and very reasonably priced.
Great video. I am now a subscriber
Yes but $200 euro and it’s all about the “journey”. Remember those 6 fools who paid Crossy $2,000 pounds for 6 two hour lessons? It’s about the jourrrrrrrrney.
Keep an eye on your kids fantastic made me laugh
Total rip off on golf abroad and in a lot of England. The links courses are a real rip off in the Uk. You, d want to hit 300 just so you could get value for money. But alas theres always suckers who pay crazy prices, just like all the £200 training shoes etc.
Cwww.clubstohire.com. Great deals.
really sad to see how its all turned so quiet. I take your point on the proce of golf, that said , how you said they're a poor country (paraphrasing so apologies if ive misrepresented) who should be thankful for your custom felt a bit rich.
No crowds is unbelievable and also way more relaxing! I normally rent the electric motocaddy/powerkaddy at the courses €15, it’s an enjoyable walk then but I play very early morning so I can see where I buggy would be needed when the sun is baking down, I would not have rented the shoes either just bought a pair in a sale or something!
Great video geezer. Top bloke you are 👍👍
Really interesting video that deserves a wider circulation. It brought home the economic effects of our current covid policy. I found it very sad that the world appears to being running away from something that has to be faced.
How much was the pitch n putt? 50 quid?🙄😆
I play that course during february, Dom Pedro own 5 top class courses in the area, Pinal being one of them. If you had played later, what they call "twilight hours" after 3pm it would of been cheaper. that course you don't need a buggie. Along the coast in the next town is a nine hole course called Pine Cliff. very laid back and not so exclusive. Very nice and reasonable prices. Crossy did a vlog there. Always pack a few balls and a glove if you visit a golfing area.
Wouldn't pay that either for the golf. When they start bitching about golf shoes, that is the time to leave. I can't believe you are having another kid! Congratulations and also you are crazy but you know that already.
Love Portugal…but they do chargelike a wounded bull….bit better Lisbon end…..
The only thing i dont get is if people haven't been working or furloughed for 5 months…then why would travel abroad to do another week of fxxk all
Im only jealous we had our week on the silver coast cancelled 2 weeks ago….will have to wait another year to go back to West Cliffs😪
The courses here in the US are charging a lot more since the Pandemic. Some say it’s to get back the monies they lost when they were closed but it’s not the case. They can charge more because there is a bigger demand. More people working from home, gives more free time and many new golfers who have never played. Because gyms are closed people are using this as exercise and most are not familiar with golf etiquette. Tee times here are slammed in California.
Really enjoyed this video. Have a great time & congrats
Had our golfing trip cancelled last week, bit of a bummer but what do you do, so gonna take a week off & drink wine!
Can’t believe they wouldn’t lower the price for a game. If this continues they will all be out of business.
Are the cat houses open?
