Surly the cost of transportation on/off the Portuguese Islands would far outweigh the advantages compared to Porto or Northern Italy for Digital Nomads? Or have I missed something?

Prices in Brussels seem somewhat cheap when I compare them to other countries. Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon are way more expensive than Brussels, even though Brussels is the Belgian and the E.U. capital

Thanks, Giorgio! I don't plan to purchase retirement property for another 2-3 years, but it appears the days of finding an abundance of "deals" might be over.
So glad you put Madeira first. The place I bought offplan a year ago is almost completed. Prices have exploded since then so I believe a very good purchase.
