Beijinos e abraços,
Carissa, Iwan, Frankie & Albi

Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

  1. Hi! I must say those eggs looked delicious, the colour of the yolks were perfect! Your kitchen walls are coming along nicely, bet you will be pleased to have it all sorted in there. Lovely relaxing video, thank you for sharing. Love the shots around your land with the music. Xxx stay safe

  2. your videos have the most beautiful quality -calmness, moving with nature's energy, time to notice everything around you which you so obviously are in love with -its joyful to watch. I love how everyones channel has a different style , showing different characters with different plans and ideas but all of you connected to the land you have become guardians of . So inspiring.

  3. Love the butterflies and birds and flowers! Spring is my favorite time of year. Good luck with the car, great work on the kitchen. Looking forward to what you do next. Really enjoying the maps I bought from Carissa's Etsy shop and the tea I bought from Seibiant. 😉

  4. Hi.. i'm following you guys for sometime now… i love your energy… keep up your awesome work and approach to life.
PS – i'm fascinated by your little Tea Infuser (i think it's called that) and how it filters the herbs … can you by any chance help me find one similar?

  5. Any reason you would paint over this BEAUTIFUL stone wall you had with cement? when you said you wanted to make it even i thought you meant on top, like to be able to place more things on an even ground. Also are you not worried someone would report you some day, because this is illegal in portugal and you can be fined 20k€ and have to tear the whole buildings down. You cannot use cement on this type of land even if many people do it.

The problem is people in uk see it and think you can do all this in portugal.

  6. Hello from Mid Wales – enjoying your videos. It was a scarce swallow tail that you saw – nice. Some good ID books that I have found for the Algarve are the Dorling Kindesley 'Flowers of the Mediterranean' as well as 'Wild flowers of southern Europe' (Davies and Gibbon) which would help with the ones I see on your land. I love the 'Algarve Wildlife, the natural year' which has a wide range of species in it and is readable – really helps with ID of a range of species you see and has good photos – I guess it would still be useful for central Portugal. I also have the New Holland European Amphibian and reptile guide which is great for thumbing through (better than the Collins). Loved hearing the cuckoo in the last video – looking forward to hearing them back in mid wales!

  7. If you want to check who is laying the bones either side of her vent / bottom when laying two fingers will fit between not laying one finger , cheers lovelies👍❤️❤️❤️🙏

  8. Terrific video❣ Your music choices are so relaxing. Love the editing, the cuddle puddle collages.

Nice job🥚🥚, chook chooks👍🏼. Good girl, Albi🐈 protecting your chookies!

Thank you for filming the sunlit mild rain shower as you walked around outside, and letting us view the full-on rain (it's so droughty in Calif). Thank you for featuring all the beautiful skies, flowers, vegetables, trees, critters, butterflies, bees, the Sausage Dog sausaging in the sand (hope she's feeling better soon!), as well as your work. Thanks to uncle Ken and anty Gina fur checking in on Frankie.

  9. 2 eggs! Eggciting times
Dare I suggest that they are both from one bird? "Ali" has a bigger comb than the others so appears to have reached maturity first … though I have my doubts: the camera moves quickly

  10. It’s going to be such a nice kitchen. I like the idea of a separate kitchen like yours. Thank you for another relaxing episode!💐💕 I love the music!!!🥰
