Well, can I force YouTube to use the VP9 video compression codec on my 1080p video even if it was recorded @ 60fps? The short and simple answer is NO!

BUT! How I manage to get desired codec and best possible video quality is by using upscale to 1440p. Yes, the process to do that is long, the file size is bigger. Youtube compression takes a much longer time and so on… And not probably worth the effort for each video… But the result is great.

So… I can’t get the same perks as other youtube channels out there simply because I can’t fit under some X requirements. or at least not yet… But what I know for sure is that hard work can bring desired quality to all 1080p videos… We just need to fill the X requirements. And then everything is possible!
