Remote work has been around for decades. Any company that takes it away will lose their talent to those that keep it.
Yes 🙌🏾 I am busy over here learning certifications in IT…. If you don’t have a skillset that is in high demand and pays lucratively…. You’ll be in trouble …. $15-$17 an hour is not gonna cut it!
You are right. The only thing holding it up is reliable internet and the people communicating proficiency in English in those countries .
What I've noticed is certain employers, especially those with an existing track record of treating their employees like garbage (Musk, Dimon) desperately want remote work to end.
And they're using their connections and invested into media outlets to push these fringe stories of people doing outlandish things while remote working.
What's interesting is a quick look at the average worker and (your own content touches on this) shows they don't have the resources, means, know how, or even intelligence to begin to do something like outsourcing their work to someone in other country, or coming up with advanced methods to overcome their company's surveillance software that watches their clicks and eye movements.
I don't buy it.
If it ends it ends, not because of these statistical minority of situations that even you are mistakenly playing up as extremely common occurrences, but rather due to the wants and machinations of these employers who want more control and what they believe to be more productivity.
Saying it's the people's fault, and that everyone was just abusing remote work so it had to be stopped is great way for these people to misdirect ire.
It’s been said that a lot of these corporations want people in these offices in one location.
I believe that they will outsource a lot of the jobs out of the country because the people here aren’t going to want to go back to commuting back and forth to the offices. Now they will be able to lower the wages of some of the remote positions…
Sadly, you’re dead wrong! 😂 Remote work has been here long before COVID and will never go away. Plus, you ignored the flip side of the coin. Global companies seeking to expand in the U.S. hire U.S. workers to work remotely! 😂🤣😂🤡
Had a remote employee who wasn’t quite grasping the knowledge to complete daily operations. We requested she come in 3 days a week to be more engaged. She said no as she does hair (which i knew she was doing on the clock). Looking for a Philippine replacement at 3/hr vs 15/hr.
I’m an insurance agent. My position can’t be outsourced and I’ll be working remote until I retire. I made sure of this well before Covid in 2016. I’m 36 now and I’m glad I thought ahead back then. A $10k month is a bad month in my profession.
This guy is correct but he’s late in the game. Outsourcing, especially Indian outsourcing has been undercutting salaries for years. I’m in Japan and the only reason those outsourcing guys haven’t completely taken over here is that Japanese companies and consumers value quality over money so they are not willing to accept lesser work product – even if it’s cheaper. American employers don’t have that same outlook 😮. If you are expendable you are in trouble……
Is there a war going on outside no man is safe from ??
When a wave of opportunity comes stay quiet 🤫 (final rule)
I suggest getting ahead of it. Find your VA's now.
As a digital marketing agency, I can have a plethora of services outsourced for $5.25 per hour.
You can teach and learn to trade but likely you won’t make profit over time. Also companies who trade are hedge funds and they don’t trade they’re own money and the good ones buy and hold .
Lots of comments here… I wish everyone the best.
One thing that stops this from happening is inflation. Local wages rarely keep up with inflation, it's typical for them to lag behind it. But as the dollar loses value, the gap between how much it costs to hire a local worker vs. an overseas worker narrows. Ultimately hiring that working in China who is half as productive as a local worker costs half as much, so it doesn't make much sense in the end.
Cap on your story about swinging bruh, there are other historic record on sexual deviancy about swinging. lol
Oh, so you mean US corporate remote work will disappear…it is already happening so it does make sense that it will expand outsourcing
His boss caught him on the beach? Freelancers don’t have bosses. I would think most remote workers are freelancers not employees. And as long as they keep trying to make new viruses, AND most remote work is created by small businesses, not corporations, I really can’t see how remote work is going anywhere any time soon.
I agree with you
I disagree because I work for a big name Management Consultant company before the pandemic we work at the client site Mon-Thurs and Friday's work from home. Since the pandemic and after the pandemic. We've been working remotely from home. It's possible things can change where the client once consultants to work on site but that comes with a cost.
Do you think that if a lot of high paying remote jobs get outsourced to these third world countries that the natives of those countries will have any reason to try to immigrate to America or a first world country anymore ?
Most people that remote work are not as efficient as they believe they are. There is actually less work getting done and people becoming lazy. People working in the clothes they woke up in. They are working but didnt was they ass. Most people need to be told what to do in order to preform at a high standard.
I’ll hire people on Fiverr to do ALL the work 😌 ….until I get caught
2:16. I actually heard about this in 2020 so I believe what you are saying is correct. Because talent overseas is just as good (in some cases will be in the near future) but cheaper for american employers. In particular, India. So I think you are right.
1:52 😆😅🤣😂
I guess IT Americans gonna have to move to India 🤣
The state government is our biggest and best employer where I live. While people can get laid off it's nothing like corporate jobs. I worked in a corporate job that was contracted with the state and I hated it and i was laid off during the pandemic. So I came back to state government and haven't looked back. I think they will roll out UBI fully around that toke as well. They are doing experiments with it now.
All good things come to an end
So if I have a service biz LLC and buy one of courses, Will that be 100% write off ?
I'm a draftsman for Steel Detailing. And our biggest competition is India. They are super cheap and can get jobs done super fast. They can have employees working 24 hours a day for fraction of our cost. Information like that keeps me on my toes
