Walking tour of Sesimbra, Portugal, with detailed historical information and context, as well as immersive ambient sounds. Sesimbra, located 40 km (25 miles) south of Lisbon, is a beach resort favored by the Portuguese who flock to the region for their holidays, drawn by the pristine beaches, relaxed atmosphere and excellent seafood restaurants.

Sesimbra is situated on a sandy bay that nestles at the base of the Arrábida mountain range. Historically, Sesimbra was an important fishing town, and today it retains its distinctive Portuguese character and relaxed paced of life. High above Sesimbra is the Sesimbra Castle, built by the Moors in the 9th century, and intimately linked to the history of Portugal.

  9. Que lugar agradável! Pena que tem tanto morro para subir! Aqui em BH é assim, também… Há ruas que as calçadas são feitas em degraus. Algumas, mais íngremes, dá medo de descer dirigindo! Subir, nem sempre um carro consegue… Usando a primeira marcha e olhe lá!
    Mas as praias de Sesimbra são lindas! O mar tranquilo, deixa a sensação de envolvimento com a natureza. Gostei demais!

Sou do Rio de Janeiro, porém Filho de Portugueses, Já tive 3 vezes em Portugal pra conhecer minha vasta família e tive o prazer de viver 10 meses nas Terras dos meus Pais, visitei quase Portugal 🇵🇹 Todo, Ainda Sonho poder ir embora daqui e viver uma Vida com Dignidade! Estou Amando recordar tantos lugares que Vcs mostram e também conhecer alguns lugares que não Passei! Espero conhecer e Recordar os Vastos lugares que não conheci!   26. boas boas pessoal!!! bem, deixo aqui o meu conselho para os amantes da gastronomia marítima… uma coisa eu posso-vos garantir, quem se quiser deliciar com o melhor, e mais saboroso peixe e marisco de Portugal, que venha então a Sesimbra, não importa a altura do ano… quando me dá aquela vontade irresistível de me deliciar com peixinho ou marisco fresquinho como manda a lei, pego no carro, e em 10 ou 15 minutos consigo ir da Quinta do Conde a Sesimbra num fininho!!! ou então se a preferência já for para o choco frito, ai será Setúbal, sem dúvida!!! e no fim do almoço um passeio pela costa, como eu já fiz algumas vezes, passando pelo que restou da discoteca SEAGULL, para matar saudades de quando lá costumava lá ir quando tinha os meus 20 aninhos!!! e sem esquecer que durante praticamente todo o caminho temos uma paisagem das mais bonitas de todo o mundo, sem brincadeiras!!!
