Thank you Joric for another common-sense video. Two questions (if you don’t mind); (1) You mentioned you visited PT many times before purchase. Can you say how many visits you made? I’m asking since we’ve made one visit (somewhat overwhelmed) w/an second trip coming soon. After one trip it’s impossible to make a choice and not sure a 2nd or 3rd will enough either. Could you share how many trips you had under your belts? (2) You also suggested some familiarity w/Porto, Lisbon and Algarve before deciding on Lisbon. Could you share what factors did you consider that favored Lisbon? Hope I’m not asking too much but your input would be very useful. 🙏🏻 Cheers.

Ive lived abroad since 2011 and i prefer to rent.
It gives me more options. If or when i decide to relocate, i can do it, when i want. I can only recommend that, unless youre 100 percent sure, you want to stay on that exact location,for many many years,

Hi! So, I think it's important to rent before buying because it gives you time to discover and get to know Portugal. True though that buying us cheaper, but you need the money and credit! We moved last July and we just found a house in Lisbon…Not the center! It will definitely be cheaper monthly and we will do some minor renovations but it will be ours and the way we want our home!

Good points! If you were to sell your property in Lisbon, would you have to pay taxes?
