We talk buying property in Portugal, falling in love, following your dream and of course take a tour around her amazing property.

  1. I need to listen to the vid again as I also hadn’t realized why she was selling. The sound is terrible and I’m 70, so please forgive me for asking again. I sent this to my sister who is getting ready to retire in Portugal. She just sent me a listing in Braga of a fantastic property. This area of Portugal is very green & lush. So I thought she might want your contact details to rent a room while she & her husband are checking out properties in the are.

  2. Hazel ☘️ …
Oh what a beautiful farm and so tastefully renovated !
Very interesting chat highlighting the strength gained by pursuing personal dreams and ambitions !

One burning question … why are you selling ?
I am interested because I renovated, through blood, sweat, guts and money a remote 300 year old cottage deep in the Mourne Mountains … fantastic property and glorious gardens …

I lived slept and ate the place getting it to exactly how I had first visioned it to be … then I sold it ?!

I never looked back with regret at all … On paper I made good profit, but in comparison to the time, effort and cost I probably broke even !
I downsized … filled every nook and cranny of the new house … made wonderful new memories there … and sold it ! (Give my two boys their inheritance and left to live in Spain)

Fast forward … I’ve never been as content as I am now with no home … kinds turns the whole Maslow notion on its head !!!
… I feel free … devoid of stuff and commitments … living by what I NEED as opposed to what I THOUGHT I wanted …

So when I see someone selling ‘their dream’ … I am intrigued to understand why

Thank you for doing this vlog Luise and thank you Trisha for sharing your journey with us 🙏

    😘☘️🙏

  3. In Vancouver , the houses in wood cust 1 ,2 or 2 , 4 million dollares and i dont understand where this people in put the price in property , and the property not have this value , this a rip of the people .

  4. Why can people watch the whole video and stop asking questions and prices THAT ARE IN THE VIDEO . Watch the video if you want to know the price . Thankyou Louise , beautiful place and very interresting story from Trisha. Sad that you have to let it go .But you have done an amazing huge job on the property.

  5. What a Beautiful place that would be somewhere where I would look for renting for a months while I look for land in Portugal myself I only want a little bit of land I don’t want to have too much work nowadays I’ve done all my work days 🤣 Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place

  6. Interesting information — especially about how properties are priced by the Portuguese. Trisha's price seems to be realistic with a little wiggle room and much more in line than some properties priced for more. It is a beautiful historical property with so much more potential in the unfinished houses on the land and having the tourism license should be a draw. Can not imagine the hoops she went thru to get that! At 22.39 of the video there is a structure by the front gate. Is it a gate house or a neighbor's property? Best of luck to her :o)

  7. It seems to have a lot of potential! Tourism rentals, and for al sorts of events, weddings; parties. I’m imagining the fireworks in the summer nights!!! My husband and I are thinking of all the possibilities the land has to offer!!!!
What commercial agricultural projects are available? Can it also be used for agri tourism ? 😀 🇨🇦

  8. I’m about to watch from the beginning. I came in at the end. It’s a beautiful property! I’d love to be invited as a guest. There could be some fun parties there! 😁

  9. The property looks lovely and even though she did a lot of work on the house, the pool and farm, there are still lots of outbuilding that can be worked on. Our question is why is she selling? Because now seems to be the ideal time to stay there, rent or RB&B it and live her life and finally relax, considering she is still young, it seems that she is healthy ( and Portugal has excellent health care)so did we miss the “why” she is selling.??

  10. Hello Trisha, Watching your live stream and loving your enthusiasm about Braga and Portugal. I am a fellow Canadian and am keen to retire to Portugal next year too. I have one question – Does Braga qualify to purchase property for the Golden Visa? Would you know? And if yes, do you know how much one needs to invest? Thank you in advance. Cheers! SJ.
