  1. i live in thailand where it is always hot and humid. I only have the air conditioning on at night. fans are enough during the day. if the remote control of my AC is at 18 degrees, i have a room temperature of 26 degrees after an hour. if the AC is at 23 degrees, it's real 29 degrees after an hour – that's too hot to sleep

  2. Too many apologists for authoritarinism… The ever greater Union/Tyranny of the EU has a logic which inevitable leads to the dissolution of Nation States to allow emergence of a supranational Entity – with its single currency, single Parliament and single border. Loss of democratic accountability in Brussels is a recipe for a corporate fascist Union. Hello China… That is the Big Picture…

  3. I LIVE IN BRAZIL AND USE EMPTY ICE CREAM TUBS FILL THEM WITH WATER,TO FREEZE THEM, YOU CAN USE THEM IN FRIDGE PART, or even make a box put them inside the box and a fan at one end, try both, I got 4 solid hours of cool keeping bedroom closed, you need about twelve tubs so you can use some while making ice, a fan is a lot cheaper to use then ac

  4. Thank you Stuart for your helpful information. Here in the US, the Department of Energy recommends 78° Fahrenheit to balance energy savings and comfort at home. That's around 26 Cº. It's 104 F here in Northern CA in the summer. 78 is great! 80 (27C) is uncomfortable.

  5. We live in Spain, in Almeria (the sunniest part of Spain) and our home aircon is set to 23, but as we run entirely off solar it is hardly an issue.

Frankly, I cannot see this rule being enforced that heavily. The Policia Local like to get out of the sun in their favourite bars, I doubt many will be looking at what the ac is set too 🙂

  6. Blaming governments any where in the EU for being "slow to get things done" is beyond arrogant.
UK decided to leave the EU now they have to deal with the fallout. Exceptionalism is alive and well and not wanting to live at home , apparently.

  7. I am in iberia but I am living on 80s building, it's old but it does the trick, the thick walls means no need to air condition, just closed windows and shutters makes it very fresh and confy. I bough a pre 90s house on purpose – its a building problem meaning quality not an ac problem.
Just for people to understand what is actually going on. And yes I did it to save money to not have extra bills on summer so I can spend it on winter where same thick walls help a lot to keep the heat inside and the cold outside.

  8. We’ll be holidaying in Mojacar 24th August we are wondering if the hotel has to limit there air condition to 27c.we see your holiday is going well and we enjoy your videos ,thank you for all your information we’ve found it helpful, keep up the good work.

  9. The earth will inevitably age. If you look at old maps, they have changed their borders by erosion etc. Climate change is another word for 'control'. Thanks as always Stu for your vlogs, as they always raise many questions 😉

  10. I live in UK and were I work in big steel building, no air con, no fans nothing, we had heatwave 3 weeks ago and it was like working in a oven! Horrible. People will not survive in hot countries with no air con! Its getting ridiculous.
