  1. It’s not for your government to tell you what temperature to have your thermostat at !! Has Franco regained power in Spain again ? I speak italian and have noticed they also suffer from an overbearing government determined to scare them with covid statistics and climate change fear porn.

  2. It’s really really hot in Spain at the start of August. ? Seriously no way ? Sure that MUST be climate change . It has never been hot in Spain ever before this year. (Jeez)

  3. I have the need for a channel or website where we can follow what new rules were introduced where, because other countries copy them.
I just watched this woman tell us the energy bills are going up dramatically in January while in my country this already happened a few months ago 🤔. We can share that it's not that bad (or yes it's bad, so you can prepare).

  4. We have a quality built apartment here in Tenerife. Cost more than the average. You get what you pay for. Modern building (EU) standards apply. Corruption in construction is only a small problem compared with 20 years ago. Do your homework and find the builders with many completed projects and a good reputation! We have no aircon, but ventilation columns and good air circulation. Never needed so much as a fan!

  5. I used to dislike Olives, but after going to Spain , I became an Olive addict! Now I am on the hunt for similar olives found in Spain. It's been a challenging journey but I have found something similar at specialty grocery stores. Now I just wished I had that "Damm Lemon" beer here in the States 😀

  6. I just wanted to let you know that I do enjoy your channel but sadly the number of ads has increased intolerably so I wish you good luck with it but I won’t be watching anymore because the ads are always irritatingly loud. Best of luck.

  7. @spainspeaks I recommend a portable AC unit. They use less electricity, about 1kw, cost about 200 euro and you can extract the air via a window or air brick/hole with ducting. Work well for a single room. I used one in Alicante and was powered by solar on the roof.

  8. I've adjusted to the longer Live Chat's, but no longer watch live as I usually go for a 2 hour walk at about 9:00 am here in California, 6:00 pm Spain. Also, I change audio to 1.5 speed. Did hear today of water shortage in Spain that's expected to cause further cost for olive oil.

  9. Hi Stuart,
Noticed on your live streams from your apartment in Portugal, that there appears to be what looks like a gold disk on the wall behind you, I don't suppose you tube give these out, but you certainly deserve one with your hard work and excellent videos and information that you tell us about everyday,
always very helpful to all of us,
    Brian, La Marina, Alicante.

  10. Ties are a modern ancestor of a cravat worn by military officers. The original reason for wearing them was their use as a bandage to cover up cuts from sword fights in battles or duels.

  11. Hola, Stuart..,! Es bueno para verte! (Soy de America; te go un baccalera (sp?); necessitated practica…. The news you share are FANTASTIC; I don’t think l’ll be able to travel to Espana, so, YOUR vid(s) mean a lot to me…. MUCHAS GRACIAS, Stewart!! ( MY opinion: many of these rules seem draconian; I wonder if they will be effective…). (We can only HOPE…!). 🤔🤔😉👣👍🏼

  12. Stuart – just curious what the average energy bills are in Spain these days? Just remember how costly they seemed years ago while I was living there and wonder about today’s costs. Thanks so much

  13. Urgent news out.. UK state pension age to rise again…. Complain to your MP ASAP.. Under current Government proposals, the state pension age will go up from 66 to 67 in between 2026 and 2028…. Working classes shafted again by past and present governments and the unions … Tony cuenca
