A look at some of the headlines around Spain and I’ll answer comments from recent videos. A billion to be spent on vocational training this year in Spain; Spain’s debt to GDP ration bigger than ever; Belgium refuses, again, to extradite controversial rapper Valtonyc; and former king Juan Carlos to set foot again on Spanish soil this weekend.

It's my understanding that the 270 day rule for vaccinations is to capture the group who had their vaccination, but no booster. So if your vaccination is more than 270 days ago, you would need to get your booster before traveling to Spain. As far as I know there isn't a plan yet for annual vaccinations, like the flu jab, but it's definitely being talked about.
Stu, if every country has debt, interesting that we couldn’t offset all these debts between countries and write portions of these debts off! Or am I being extremely nieve?
Spain's public debt can be whisked away with high inflation over a number of years like in the 70s. With, say, 10% inflation, you owe 10% less every year in fiat money terms – think about it.
Happy you are feeling better. I'm not asking if you have had the jabs, as its your business.all I know is that 90 pc of the people I know that have had them are getting covid again and other chest problems?? Love your channel BTW. You are a very good journalist.
In Barca, my friend bought alcohol after 11pm but the shop keeper would only hand over the bag of bottles to him down a side alley, not in the shop. In Ireland, on a Sunday, alcohol cannot be puchased until after midday.
In Lisbon, on a Sunday, visit the LX Factory district by the 25th May bridge.
Cheddar cheese is easy to buy anywhere. But crumbly Cheshire cheese is much harder to find outside England.
The problem with many residency applications in Portugal is the slow speed of the SEF (Portuguese Immigration). I spent a large chunk of money with a lawyer to gain a self employed residence permit, (fiscal number/social security number/proof of address etc), and my lawyer duly submitted my application through the SEF online portal. Guess what? The SEF is so behind, (allegedly due to covid restrictions from the past), they are only up to processing September 2020 applications. Every is processed strictly in date order, no exceptions, no fast track. To make things worse you are not permitted to leave Portugal whilst the application is on going. Well my business is travel and tourism…so what am I supposed to do for the next 12-18 months which is the predicted for processing time? Any community advice truly welcomed!
Try Greek Kasseri cheese or Kashkaval. It beats cheddar
The corrupt, tax-evading womanizer that is Juan carlos spent decades stealing from the Spanish people then ran away with his millions to evade justice, yet the Spanish courts can't make the effort to bring him to justice or even demand explanations. Then some rapper, who has never had a penny from the Spanish people, points out what a rotten institution it is, and he's hounded. Just shows what a desperate need there is for some Nuremberg style trials in Spain. It's never too late!
The amount of manipulation in that article about the debt is staggering. What is now called public debt is actually nothing of the sort. Thanks to a cloak
anddagger modification of the constitution which nobody even had the chance to vote on, Spain handed over 60 BILLION€ of PUBLIC money to the banks who had gleefully been playing roulette with the economy, making vast profits, and put their hands out when things didn't go their way. Only recently the reborn Bankia was sold on, making millions in private profits yet nothing of the taxpayers funding was ever returned and never will be. Same goes for the private motorways which the Spanish taxpayers bailed out. What did they get in return? motorway toll increases to add insult to injury. Then there's the SAREB. Then there's the current helping hand to the petrol companies, who have laughed at the public by raising their prices the moment the tax cut came in. The sad truth is that Spain is a paradise for big capital thanks to the forelock- tugging lumpen who believe the crap printed in the Spanish media and allow it to continue. A guillotine in the plaza mayor would be a step in the right direction!Be careful Stu…. I’m in Athens and thought I had a cold as well….. then I tested for Covid XIX…..
This is the case of the 'ninis'. Youngsters who stop studying and don't work. Live with their parents and seem to refuse to work. Too tiring! That might be a reason for the gap between what companies need and a workforce who is unemployed.
Hello Stuart
My niece lives in Australia and became an Australian citizen after having left South Africa 12 years ago.
As my father was from Italy, my niece is entitled to an EU Passport, for which she started the process a while ago and is close to having her EU passport and will have dual citizenship (EU and Australia)
I was not sure I understood why you were not able to obtain your EU passport? I am curious as to what you told us.
Glad that the frog has hopped away.
It is very interesting about working in a different country anywhere which is not
their country of origin. The black economy is rife in most places. Makes you wonder how many people actually
work with no official papers? Probably
a lot more than we all think!!
Hope your. feeling better Stu. Sunny weather all day today whilst at work in Birmingham, then chucks it down when Im home!
Many Spanish people want comfort zone and do not have a good level of confidence in themselves nor do they trust the Govt. As such, many prefer to live with parents and not to worry about it. SO generally if there are not good jobs in Spain, Spaniards wont take them. Like many other countries generally like the US, Americans are not interested in low paid menial labor jobs. That goes for here too. However, many young people willing to work for service related low paid jobs like Rodilla , Starbucks . . . as such to get some experience to add to their credentials. Unfortunately, that is Sad reality for the young generation in Spain as long as I remember in 80´s how the situation was back then in Spain. It seems that circumstance has not changed for the young Spaniards ever since.
Stuart as I said at the end of a recent stream! Do you remember the last two years your where pushing vaccines! And referring to the unvaxed as Idiots? I remember! As it’s become quite evident from PEER reviewed science papers the vaccines are dangerous and killed many people and injured many more! Are you going to hold yourself responsible for dishing out the bullshit? And are you going to issue an apology to your viewers! some of whom may have listened to your shite and now maybe permanently damaged? I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RESPONSE.
Thanks for the video Stu
